Here is your Friday Gun Survey: (as always, Chicago Rules apply)
I was listening to Geraldo this morning(snip)what really caught my ear was this comment from Geraldo, and I quote: How could you not trust your own government?
(snip)Lets get directly at the heart of the beast: the Second Amendment(snip)an armed citizenry to protect themselves from future tyrannical leaders like the one they had just fought to free themselves from.
Well here, lets have somebody who knows something explain this:
(snip)Consider the words of Supreme Court justice Joseph Story who was, it bears noting, appointed to the Court by the guy who wrote the Constitution:
(snip) it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them.
Usurpation and arbitrary power of the rulers not Bambi, not burglars(snip)that is not what we have a constitutional provision to protect. Liberals are forever asking: Why would anybody need a gun like that? And the answer is: because we are not serfs. We are a free people living under a republic of our own construction. We may consent to be governed, but we will not be ruled.(snip)
I, along with many of you Continued

Geraldo was so disingenuous this morning.
He has made his reputation as an anti-establishment, anti-government “free thinker” in a previous era.
I am convinced if someone had the resources to search everything Geraldo has ever said that it wouldn’t be hard to find numerous anti-government, even anti- trusting government, quotes over the years.
I knew he was just another talking points liberal, but I still hate it when they prove it.
How can you not trust your Government?
Let me fix that one for him.
Any Government that spends half it’s time on vacationing and the other half lying it’s ass off cannot be trusted.
I wouldn’t trust Obama to empty my trash.
Geraldo is a fool.
BECAUSE I DID NOT VOTE FOR IT.
“How can you not trust your Government?” This group of Marxists makes it quite easy, and every passing day confirms it.
“How can you not trust your Government?”
That’s why we have a Conatitution.
“How can you not trust your government?” Ask a Native American.
Geraldo on Fox this morning said that semi-auto rifles can easily shoot 4 to 5 shots per SECOND. That would require a VERY fast finger. One per second is the M16 specification in semi-auto mode of operation. Of course, none of the Fox talking heads knew enough about guns to call him on it. So Geraldo’s point was that semi-auto are basically machine guns.
I had a Bersa .380 cook off seven rounds in a second. It was so fast that I only felt one recoil. It was repaired and it would only cook of threee round bursts so they replaced it.
He never lets the facts get in the way of his reporting. Am I the only one who remembers him getting busted for carrying his own gun during the gulf war? He probably dose not need that anymore because he is rich enough to hire an armed guard. If he’s on tv I change stations.
Gee, that's funny. I don't recall Whorealdo or anyone else on the left posing this question when they were running around accusing Bush and Cheney of being Hitler, of being evil, lying scum, and pretty much not trusting anything that administration said or did.
The thing I loathe most about liberals (and the list is long), is their utter hypocrisy.
LMAO!!
Evidently Jerry Rivers is an expert on weapons just as he is on Al Capone’s treasure hide out.
I certainly remember Geraldo’s pearl handled revolver and him diving for cover when shots were fired in their direction from a couple miles away. Guess he fancied himself to be Patton of the Hindu Kush. Politics and the media sure seem to attract freaks.
