someone buy that man a new tie (or shirt) and a tripod!
By the time the jackboots show up, Obama and his minions in the press will already have redefined gun owners as no better than mollesters.
What is this “doorstep” fantasy all over the place? It’s silly to allow an enemy to fix you in an inescapable position.
If a totalitarian government happened here, it’d make much more sense to tke advantage of the enemy’s predictable patterns of behavior to engage them somewhere besides your doorstep. Of course, this should be at a time of your choosing. Vasily Zaitsev was quoted as saying “impatience is death”.
Also, when targeting them, it would always be nice to place a barrier between your position and the target. Say, a river, a deep gorge, a busy interstate highway, etc. This means that in the unhappy event that one of the UN gun confiscation troops spots you, they still cannot easily storm your position.
Things like this could instill deep paralytic fear in these Pakistani troops we must surely be speaking of.
Interesting parlor conversation though.
Watch from a distance and do the mil-dot calculations in their head. Any sucker walking into a trap like that deserves what he gets.
I won't be at home. I'll be hunting.

I don't get the assumption that after the 20th century and it's historical lessons, anyone would sit at home, waiting for the knock on the door.
We all know where that winds up.

Strangely enough, “the Feds” did show up at my door about 20 -25 years ago. An FBI agent knocked on my door, and asked to see a particular pistol I owned. He was very polite, almost apologetic. I checked his ID, made him wait by the door, went into the other room and retrieved the pistol in question. He checked the serial number and returned the gun to me, thanked me and left. As I recall, it had something to do with a stolen gun.
Great minds,,,,

Oh yeah!
that one was not worth going to the link
I have to chuckle at this. By in large, Gov't does not forcefully have to take the weapons and arms of the individual.
As a whole, Americans comply with the law. So Gov't creates laws to control the sheep.
We already have enough laws on the books to take guns away. There aren't many people who stand against gun permits, and other controls on weapons. As a American, we don't need a permit to carry or have a gun. Nor should there be any restriction on any such weapon. Yet, will still as a whole, comply. Class III, FFL, lol.
Even criminals are outlawed and prevented from having a gun in most cases! Even a criminal should have the basic right to defend themselves. As we create more laws, we will have more criminals. The police state will create a criminal out of everyone. Throw in medication and other 'things' that in the future will prevent you from getting a gun.
By force, lol.
Laws don't stop that.
Criminals get better firearms than I can lawfully buy.
Your premise is flawed.
/johnny
I was reading somewhere else that a lot of people are actually waiting for when they show up, and how best to get them there sooner.
Not my idea, other peoples ideas.
If you have a permit, your complying. It is only a matter of time before the love of freedom and concern for the 2nd amendment is bred out of the country.
So, no the Feds wont, nor will they need to show up at the door to ask for the gun.
You have a poor opinion of your fellow Americans, noobian princess, or of us.
It isn’t often that I disagree with every statement made in a post, in your case all five.
If this our any other American Government goes rogue and begins stealing our Constitutional Rights and attacking US citizens many will not be waiting for anyone to show up at their door step. Once the Government has declared war on the people the fight is on. Many military units will turn on the Government and units that attack their own citizens. Civilians will link up with those units and police units that stand against the tyranny.
Your favorite movie star is pretending he’s Glenn Beck now.
I didn’t think you’d want to miss this.
