President Barack Obama signed a bill into law on Thursday guaranteeing himself Secret Service protection for the rest of his life.
White House press secretary Jay Carney said Obama signed the “Former Presidents Protection Act of 2012” on Thursday. The law affects Obama, former President George W. Bush and future presidents, who under current law would only be protected for 10 years after leaving office.
According to the press secretary’s office, the law “restores lifetime Secret Service protection of former Presidents who did not serve as President prior to January 1, 1997, and their spouses; and provides for protection of all children of former Presidents until they become 16 years of age.”
Republican South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy introduced the bill in the House.

Lifetime SS protection for former prezzes but only inside U.S. borders. Abroad, they’re on their own dime. IIRC.
The Second Amendment is ordinary American Citizens “lifetime protection.”
But of course The Won, President Hussein, wants to decree an infringement on that unalienable right.

Nope. The law, which also gives lifetime protection to George W. Bush and all future presidents, was passed by the House on Dec. 5 and the Senate on Dec. 28.
So what happens, fer instance and I’m just supposin’, but what happens if he finds his ass in jail at some point for crimes connected to vote fraud, F and F, Benghazzi, money laundering, etc and so on.
Does the Secret Service detail a crew to Leavenworth or wherever?
Hmm, so why exclude the Clintons?
I would ask how he plans to protect his legacy but I’m sure the leftist media would be more than pleased to take care of that.
