Yeah, but what about their football team?
Fantasy League, of course.
There are waiting lists for virtual schools in Michigan.
Its not something for lazy students and parents but its nice to have the choice.
Madden NFL.
Less chance of getting shot or indoctrinated.
Yes on getting shot, but I’m wondering about the indoctrinated part. Is this the left’s “antidote” for homeschoolers. It would at least give parents better control & it is Oklahoma, so that’s 2 things working in it’s favor right there.
Are there no parochial or private virtual high schools?
I wrote that because parents would have a much better opportunity to monitor what the teachers are saying, so I think the indoctrination would not be as bad.
You know, I don’t know. It’s been 7 or 8 years since I knew anyone homeschooling their kiddos. Maybe someone will weigh in who knows.
To Vince, I agree. (& obviously, I guess, I’m paranoid. The federal gov’t has no business controlling education in any way, imho)
Sounds close to my modest proposal for education reform.

We have been discussing ways to fast track kids through high school to avoid the liberal agenda and other idiocies:

Oddly, last year some flags began going up on a couple of the courses. Global warming came up in Science as fact, and in a business course, the material stated that it is always best to do business with and through the government. WTH? Fortunately we are the teachers and though he completed the lessons, our son expressed his rejection of the lesson plan as opinion and not fact in his written work.
I have to think we are the exception and that most kids and parents go along with the lesson plan without questioning.
I like the History Channel, but they almost always refer to Global Warming as settled science whenever they discuss it.
Excellent. I was hoping someone with firsthand knowledge would weigh in.
That’s exciting to know that Y’All are in South Carolina.
Liberty Christian School in Argyle, Texas, offers an online school program in addition to a physical campus.

Oaks Christian School I have heard of but don’t know their specifics

You asked about religious online high schools.
This school states it is an online Christian accredited high school.

St. Vincents School in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas has combined online courses of an accredited online program with their campus program, allowing them to now offer an accredited high school program with most courses taught online. However, teens also benefit from in-person language lessons, supervised science labs, religious classes and art taught by teachers on campus.
We pass Liberty when we go to visit her parents in Keller. Nicest high school campus I’ve ever seen.
