There are waiting lists for virtual schools in Michigan.

Its not something for lazy students and parents but its nice to have the choice.

The "brick & morter" schools do not like the public virtual charter schools..

They get a portion of their funding from having butts in the seats. For every child in their district that "attends" virtual school thats monies they dont get.
