Unfortunately, there is some truth to this. I personally know several gun owners who think future sells of large capacity magazines and even assault type weapons should be banned. They don’t see any need to own any themselves and so don’t see a ban as any skin off their nose.
And conversely I know a guy that voted for Obama twice, that just ran out and spent a grand on an AK this weekend.
I’m not planning to visit ... let’s say ... Wisconsin — so why not make it a crime to visit Wisconsin? It’s no skin off my nose.
How odd. Just recently I read a conservative was advocating that we ease up on the abortion thing to get more votes. I wonder if they are from the same neighborhood.

Do they also think the Government should be able to break down your door and seize the Large Capacity Magazines you already own?
