> There are only so many swat teams out there.
Yes, but unless the opposition is organized, not just armed, the swat teams will prevail, one gun owner at a time, or with multiple raids conducted on multiple gun-owners simultaneously. Either way, if the gun-owners remain isolated and unorganized, they will be easily crushed.

My take is that small cells is the most viable way for resistance to survive. On the political front - a large group with strong leadership is desired. But they have to remain apart from more active resistance.
I think the Sinn Fein and IRA model works. The TEA Party can act as Sinn Fein.
The leadership of the IRA was not well known, and a rigid structure would have been rolled-up a lot easier.
That is not the case at all. Only when organized would the government have any chance at harming a resistance group.
You need to run some logistics numbers on that scenario. There aren't nearly enough enforcers to do what you think. Door to door to 100 million homes? It is to laugh.

I live in small town America.....northern New England.
Everybody knows police officers, sheriff deputies, state troopers....and most people, myself included, know where many of these cops live. And nearly every home in these parts has multiple firearms.
When vast numbers of people are armed and angry, it’s not easy for them to be “crushed.”
[[Yes, but unless the opposition is organized, not just armed, the swat teams will prevail, one gun owner at a time,]]
Precisely- and hte reason you’re right is because thsi coutnry has clearly indicated that it no longer wishes to fight the left, nor to hold the left accoutnable for anything, and they are willign to give up one constitutional right after another, and even our state leaders have shown they are unwilling to take a stand agaisnt the government’s unconstituional acts agaisnt it’s citizens-
Like you say, the government wil ltarget one person at a time- and any small ‘outbreaks of resistance’ will be quickly put down AND justified by hte government, and the masses will beleive the ‘justuification’ by the govertnemtn, and will ifnact see thsoe who resist as ‘enemies of the nation’ or worse yet, as ‘terrorists’ and will the masses may even join hte governemt in tryign to ‘save the nation’ by putting down all resisters-
[[Either way, if the gun-owners remain isolated and unorganized, they will be easily crushed.]]
This is precisely why people WILL lsoe their rights to own guns- there will be small pockets of resitance, but nothign on a large enough scale to fight the massive armies of this nations- Those who did band together to form small resistance squads will be labelled as terorists, and the public will most likely even cheer when the government ‘savesw them from’ said ‘terrorists’ (of course the TRUE radical muslim terrorists will be quietly takign advantage of the distraction and strengthening hteir bases throughout hte untited states)
This all of course sounds exteme, however, how many natiosn whos citizens have claimed ‘pry my gun from my cold dead hands’ have simply quietly turned over their guns to their governments? Quite a number of them actually- And America is so different from them how? True, we WERE a nation that fought to keep our guns and keep from havign governtment lord it over us IN THE PAST, but htose days are essentially over and this last election proved that- the masses have indicated they are more than willing to lose ANY constitutional rights as long as the government keeps ‘giving them stuff’ (however, these folks apparently are too blind to see that they actually give the governemt BACK more than the government gives them- but by golly when thaT $200 dollar per year ‘stimulus check’ arrives i nthe mail, in their minds, all the pain was worth it)
This coutnry is in a bad bad state- QWe are witnesign a very rapid declien of our constitutional rights, and we are witnessign a supreme court that refuses to stop our government from trampling our riughts- and I do beleive that you arte spot on in your assessment o hte situation
Elected officials are much more lightly guarded. Hard to carry out orders when you start running out of folks who give orders...
This crap goes through, most of us are going hunting and won't be home when the SWATties come knocking.
