To get the URL I just right-clicked on the links on my blog and copied the URL’s from them. Do you think all the extra mumbo-jumbo in the one link could be from something not getting converted right? If so, how could I type it in to get the correct URL?
Thanks for any help you can give.
All the extra mumbo jumbo are %20 symbols. This is where there are spaces in the URL. Example http://www.free repulic.com with a space between free and republic breaks the URL. However http://www.free%20republic.com is Free Republic with a space the way some servers see it (not a legit URL as it doesn’t exist but you get the point). Some server engines don’t like the space and don’t convert it to %20 so you have a broken URL.
The next question is do you host this right on the blog’s server (ie just keep it on Wordpress) or do you have your own hosting server through your hosting provider? If the former, it shouldn’t have the empty space problem and there is another reason they aren’t showing up. If the latter, check with your hosting provider to see if they’ve changed to a .NET platform or something like that which doesn’t recognize spaces in URLs.
If they did change, I’m sure they are getting a lot of complaints because most blog platforms just use your title as part of the URL, spaces and all so you shouldn’t be the only one with issues.
