“I turned them into lawn ornaments. Want to see my forge?”
Deception my ass... I’m going hunting.
What makes you believe when they come for our guns and ammo they won’t be coming for us, as well?
The only “registered” items at this household, are cars.
I’m CCW “licensed”, but there is no obligation to follow through with any “purchase”.
So, they may suspect and ask, but then what?
If they start snooping through credit card records, we will have long notice.
Some items “may” show up if they start rummaging through gun store records, but again, we’ll have long notice.
One key, is to have secure, alternate storage, away from your home.
Now,consider this - this is Texas. The list of who bought a gun is in the files of the store where guns were bought. Then, we have the guns who were bought from individuals and there is no record of that. Guns handed down through the family have no record.
Cops will know the above. Now, two cops are approaching a house where they know a person bought a gun ‘cause they have the record from the store but they don't know if there are other guns there. They know most Texans use their guns at shooting ranges and for animal hunting and their guns are dear to them. What is the fear factor in the heart of those cops? Or, in the heart of a federal agent?
The first cop or federal agent who is killed will put more fear in the cop/fed gun confiscator.
Taking guns in Texas just isn't going to work. There would be blood running in the streets and it would be cop/fed blood. You can say men would be threatened by taking away their jobs if they didn't give up their guns, say anything you want, but most men in this state don't give a damn when their guns are in danger.
Who wants to go to Humblegunner’s house and demand his guns? I rest my case.
“I’m a reloader, just let me free up some brass...”
“What guns?”
midwives and people hid babies from herod.
are you going to lose sleep about lying to tyrants attempting to execute unjust and immoral laws on you?
All I can say is that someone’s going to have a bad day.
Remember back in 1970 when the anti-gunners hated handguns so bad they claimed the Miller Decision ONLY protected military style rifles?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_v._Miller
Government attorneys argued...
“3. The Second Amendment protects only the ownership of military-type weapons appropriate for use in an organized militia.”
The 1970 anti-gun claim was handguns and sawed off shotguns were not protected.
My answer is the same as G. Gordon Liddy’s answer.
I fart in your general direction!
My answer?
GFYAD.
Government regulations require cooperation from the regulated. Prohibition of alcohol is the best example of a very unpopular regulation. It actually created a nation of scofflaws. People ignored not just to the ban of alcohol but also pretty much all laws in general including traffic laws and on up to include more serious laws. Let the gun control freaks have their obscene circle jerk. The broke and broken government can’t even afford to protect our embassies much less our schools. How would we expect them to confront each gun owner to take away weapons. Ignore their expectation of cooperation. This too will pass
