Mine isn’t going to be the least bit pretty. I DID pay off my truck early, so that frees up more cashflow. I’m HOPING that what I lack in a truck payment now wil cover the spread.
I’m looking into using a Food Pantry for my fixed-income Dad, who is also taking a hit as his supplemental medical insurance goes up this month, too. His SS check and little old me are HIS only means of support...and his health is not all that good.
Went from a two-income family two years ago to just myself (divorce) and now I have my Dad to partially support, too. My adult step-sons are on their own. No milk from this cow, Boys, LOL!
But, it could be worse. And I assure you it will be. I hope everyone, dead or alive that voted for this POS President suffers and suffers to the point where they actually NOTICE it. Grrrrr!
*Rant Off*
My condolances on the divorce. Most expensive experience in my life. So I can empahsi
The hit that I took is about $2600 net for this year and will not count much when it comes time to file in 2014. I’ll bet that I will end up owing a serious chunk of cash to them come April 15, 2014.
Then add in whatever other retroactive taxes they manage to pass will only make it worse. I’m expecting to owe in the neighborhood of $15K. This is to try and break the middle class, and leave us with next to zero for disposable income.
Vacations are out of the question now, as is investing for a retirement that I will now, never see. I have resigned myself to dying at my desk and hope that rigor mortise sets in before I am noticed to be dead, that way they can’t say I died on the way to the hospital (double indemnity).
This is the plan, we will have less net, and then a $1200+/month nut to crack on a yearly filing basis that will then take the entire year to pay off plus interest and penalties. This while claiming single/zero. Bye bye to exemptions for my minor children, mortgage interest, state income tax deduction, and whatever other taxes they can come up with.
Expect the seizure of your 401k and pensions in the next few years for a guaranteed subsistance living in some sort of stripped down version of “The Villages in Florida”. Like “Stepford” for seniors where you are drugged out and waiting for death.
I don’t mean to be so gloomy but if one examines to their logical conclusion the policies being implemented by those in power, you can see where this leads. Strip you of your wealth and strip you of the means to accumulate any real wealth. It’s essentially bondage.
