Marijuana serves the same purpose in our nation that the circus played in Rome. It is a distraction. Legal or illegal, it is a distraction. A republic REQUIRES an involved citizenry. Pot is used to keep the citizens uninvolved in what happens politically in our country. And spare me the sophistry of saying alcohol is the same. I already know that. That is such an intellectually lazy argument that it should be embarrassing to those who use it. We sit here on Free Republic and wonder why the Democrats win. Blow a little weed, and the answer will come to you.
