There's more that needs to be destroyed too.
Look, we can keep going back and forth with the cutsey crap.
I don't have the time or patience.
It's going to be a tough nut. Big deal. It still needs to be cracked and we CAN do it. Even putting as bad a said of mud colored glasses as you are doing...
Why?
Because we've done it before and we have learned those lessons. The other side hasn't. This is obvious by how they are always doing what people in their position have always done. This makes them predictable.
Advantage us.
And yeah, it's still worth it.
Your first reply to this thread was
"Now Wait a minute..."Them" includes oath-breaking agents of the IRS, DEA, HHS, Marshalls service, Secret Service, State Police, local police, county sheriffs, and others ... including National Guard and regular Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. Some will disobey orders ...but not all"
In spite of the fact that I address rationally these exact topics in my well researched article. Disagree about the numbers ? Sources not the best ? Let's discuss it, but you hit first with a "This dumb grunt missed these important points" - type post. Like I said, you're obviously well educated which leaves only your motives with dishonest demoralization of that type.
My argument is clear and concise. I allow and mention it in the article that there is plenty of wiggle room for numbers. I mention the split in the military during CWI and during FDR and you claim I'm basing it on feelings ?
In the end, we are armed. We are free, and we are strong enough to stay that way.
While we're on the topic of allies and alienation, coming to a FR gun rights thread with Harvard's rule book of logical debate isn't going to win you any followers yourself.
I agree. It will be tough, and it will be a big deal.
It still needs to be cracked and we CAN do it.
I agree; and I hope we can do it without blowing everything good and decent in this Great Republic to hell in the process.
Even putting as bad a set of mud colored glasses as you are doing...
Bloody hell ... somebody has to drag out the mud-colored glasses. The author makes Pollyanna look like a pessimist.
"230 to 1!!!! It'll be like a sport bike against a Mack truck!!!! Rah, Rah, Rah!!!!!"
What planet is this guy on?
Read later.

The numbers are accurate. If you want to lay down your 230:1 chance to avoid marxist slaughter, be my guest.
Perhaps you should share with us your opinion on the numbers, and the sources from which you derived them.
Really, all you have done is misprepresented my research, claiming I didn't address topics which I clearly did, and further claimed that the numbers are wrong. Up to what light are you holding this for comparison ? Please illuminate us all.
A good percentage of those force multipliers are man-portable these days and will make it into the hands of the "rebels". Anti-armor, anti-aircraft, night-vision, rifle grenades, etc. - all easily smuggled into the hands of waiting ex-military men and women who know how to use them and instruct others.
The initial push-back has to be broad enough and last long enough to permit the oath-keeping faction in the military to make its move.
Accurate, but I wouldn’t fall into Arrogant’s trap of elaborating further. Some things are known by the honest but should not be posted.
Yep, and keep it mobile, or mobile-ready.
Also, this should be of some interest (in case anyone hasn't seen it yet):
AR-15.com SHTF / EMCOMM Frequency List (my hat is off to the arfcom folks who put this together)
Anyone feel like cooking up an FR version of this?
And yeah, if this sh*tstorm kicks off... The Feds don't stand a chance. They are skylined and they know it. That's why there's all this back-door/frog pot crap going on.
Without it, it'll be a slaughter. With it, they may back a few of us into Warsaw Ghetto type situations.
We ain't playin' that game this time around.
No, you did not rationally address them. You wrote off as nonexistent both the profusion of civilian "law enforcement" entities and the entire US military. You did so with no factual support, and used it to present a naively optimistic POV that IMO is dangerous. It certainly has been very dangerous to folks in the past.
Then, you responded to comment and criticism in a very brittle and personally offensive manner, which speaks ill both of you and of the position you're trying to hold.
The worst part of this is that in the main, I agree with you ... yet all you have accomplished in direct conversation is to convince me that you're a person to be avoided and not to be trusted.
Check your attitude ... it's not doing you any good.
This is worth reading. :-)
This is worth reading. :-)
Thank you for the ping.
The list masters with long lists are having multiple post problems.
However, I sent a post to a single FReeper yesterday, and it double posted, so who knows?
Finally!!! You're starting to come to your senses ... your "Rah Rah Rah" article at the top of this thread reads just like the "Rah Rah Rah" crap that preceded the first "US Civil War".
The numbers are accurate.
The numbers are nonsense. You have arbitrarily decided that only the BATF and the FBI are to be counted among "them" ... completely dismissing other Federal law enforcement entities along with State, county, and local police of various sorts. That's stupid. Worse (inexcusably worse), you arbitrarily decided that the military will be so divided as to be a non-participant. That's beyond stupid. It's unspeakable ... you puke that up, and then expect to be taken seriously?
You completely gloss over equipment differences, don't even mention the leftist propaganda machine ...
Really, it's no wonder you're so brittle about your self-so-called "research".
It's crap.
Many of those pushing for gun control are only thinking of where they can lead us, where we are determinded not to go. They are ignoring at their potential great peril if "we" are in range of their fire, "they" will be in the range of ours as well. In the end, they can be compelled to go where they do now wish to go. This is not a one way street once they push it beyond a certain point.
Additionally, a huge portion of their "army" of supporters is composed of fools, slackers, and ignoramouses. That rabble (mostly unmotivated by anything except what they can steal or smash) might be terrific for comprising a mob to burn some places down or intimidate, loot, and murder some innocents,... but not so great for long term.
These budding tyrants - so long having had their way and lusting to destroy our God given rights for their own evil ends - have lost the perspective of where an outrage as fundamental as this can go. They are moving beyond simply stealing our money and bankrupting this country. That was and is bad enough. But now they are after our very life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
A raging fire - once burning out of control - consumes all before it and is hugely unpredictable. I suspect their ideological blinders are keeping them from seeing that or else many would not be so foolishly fanning the flames of destruction and mouthing assent to it. Or, maybe they just imagine they can easily get away with it like they have everything else...?
There are around 10 million veterans in the US between the ages of 22 and 50...
True.
An ancestor of mine was mustered out into his local militia on April 19, 1775. He was one of the first to arrive at Concord Bridge and was wounded in the leg. On being helped from the field toward home, he met two of his brothers (about his age) and three of his sons heading toward the ongoing battle.
He never recovered and died of his wounds three months later. His beloved wife died on the same day as he did. He was 67 years old.
So, don't discount the additional numbers of vets (and other patriots) who fall outside this age group but still are willing and able. If it ever comes to the test in that awful time, many of us will be in the battle as well. They are the modern day Lobsterbacks and despicable Tories. We have nowhere else to run, nor do we wish to do so. This is our home and our country.
If 67 wasn't too old for our ancestors, it isn't too old for many of us, either.
Yes I did, with numbers, historical fact and personal experience. You essentially called me a liar in your opening salvo.
"The worst part of this is that in the main, I agree with you"
That's really the worst part huh ? You agree with me but go ahead and put all these unfounded doubts into people's minds during the middle of a psycholoigal warefare attack by domestic enemies ? Did you picket and protest the "Why We Fight" series during WWII too ? (yes I am questioning your age)
"...convince me that you're a person to be avoided"
Don't worry we're not likely to run into one another at the opera.
I hope you're right.
Hope is not a strategy.
They are skylined and they know it.
Are they? Really? All of them? The right ones? Are you skylined? Are you sure?
all this back-door/frog pot crap is going on because they hope (which is not a strategy) to rule over an America that's worth ruling over.
Without it, it'll be a slaughter.
I agree, but probably not in a way you like. It will be a slaughter either way.
Dude ... get over yourself.
Seriously. It's a discussion forum. Some folks will agree with you. Some folks won't.
It would be very helpful for you if you were to respond to comments and criticism without trying to shout folks down, insulting them, telling them to shut up, or ascribing base motives to them.
Did you picket and protest the "Why We Fight" series during WWII too ?
There you go again ...
What do you want Arrogant ? Maps, plans, names and places, times ? Hell maybe we can just lay this all out on a table and roll dice with the tyrants to see who wins.
Your insistence on details is incredibly suspicious.
