That is where I started. The camps look amazing - like mere dots until you start zooming in. It really puts the mountain in perspective. I just hooked an HDMI cable up to my 65" LED - I may be lost for days now!!!! WOW!

Look in the “V” area between the two frontmost mountains...You can see a string of climbers on their way up...

Thats cool-kids loved it. Thought all the dots of color were trash until we zoomed in and saw they were tents.

Some 30 years ago, a friend of mine and his wife joined one of those groups going to climb Mt. Everest. The lady was feeling bad and stayed at the base camp while the rest of the group went all the way to the summit. Upon returning, they found out that she had died! They buried here right there, at the base camp. I find it extremely sad to see the area converted into a giant garbage dump.
