Police oppose Gun Control on Public Radio

While the old media still act as gatekeepers to promote the failed policy of gun control, people are finding ways to spread the alternative message of freedom and responsibility.
My brother heard a retired police officer call in to Wisconsin Public radio yesterday. The officer said that they trained hard, but they were always too late. The answer was not more gun control, but to adopt the Israeli solution of arming teachers and older students.
Then listening to a national public radio program, onpoint.wbur.org, that has a special on the Connecticut school shooting, he heard a different officer make almost exactly the same points.
Both officers were quickly shut off, and the people on the show seemed as much dumbfounded as anything as they seemed unable to understand that there was an alternate method that had been tested and found successful to stop school shootings. That police officers gave them this information confused them even more.
The truth is getting out. The MSM no longer have a stranglehold on information flow.

The new media and concerned citizens are getting an alternate view out. The MSM no longer controls the information flow. They can for a few hours or days, but we work around the old gatekeepers.

My local constabulary knows that if I have pants on, I'm armed. They are very comfortable with that.
PBS only wants its leftist message to get out.

I live on a military base so we are unarmed.
We have to keep the guns locked in one case and the ammo in another locked box. If we have a CCL, we have to pull over before we come onto post, unload our weapon and lock the gun and the ammo up in the trunk.
Then we wonder why our trained soldiers were mowed down on Ft. Hood.
What kills me is the irony of hearing Leftists say, “Only police and soldiers should have guns...”
Really? So why can’t my trained soldier husband carry a gun? Or even have one loaded in the house?

Usually they just interview police chiefs, careerists who give them the politically correct nostrum they are looking for. These were apparently callers, who are inconveniently difficult to control.
To: Marie
It is stupid.
Thank you and your husband for your service.
It's not just the soldiers, sailors and airmen that serve, but families, too.

If the left gave the money they make on violence they push on us in movies, TV, Music and games, we could feed all the hungry, clothe the poor and reduce the deficit

One gun control law I would support is the disarming of Hollywood in it’s entirety.

We know what the statists' real agenda is, and it's not "public safety."

The more rural they are the more they oppose it. Even in the big cities one will find a lot of LEOs who think the people should be armed.
But they are not heard from as the MSM pushes the anti’s to the front.

“if I have pants on, I’m armed”
There is a severe problem here since JRandom (Johnny) seldom HAS his pants on, especially in summer. (I don’t have personal observation of this but I’ve been told that by Johnny himself.) :o)

Let me ask you a serious question. The govn. can now FORCE people to buy health insurance, so, could they actually limit the amount of ammo we could buy? And, could Hussein cause that to happen by having Department of Firearms (whatever their initials are, canât remember right now), write such a regulation and then enforce it with Holderâs henchmen? Iâm serious here.
