The man himself is neither intelligent nor well educated, but reads what is written for him quite well. The fact that an intelligent person cannot make heads or tails of it indicates that the "speeches" are made up of psychologically developed "keywords" that are designed to elicit an emotional response, rather than an objective appraisal. The fact that otherwise normal-appearing people voted for him offers us some proof that the approach actually works on people who may be poorly educated, ignorant, or just plain stupid. On those who are better educated, the Obama Cult has become their theology. Pretty damn good technique!
Think of the emerging field of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The professionals in the field can make sure it is your web site that leaps up in the top 2 or 3 when anyone searching the internet for anything, types in the right "key words."
If you use G-Mail, or Yahoo, try this experiment. Send a friend a note using the words "nose job." Key words. See what happens next. Every plastic surgeon in your state will have an ad up in 30 seconds!
Obama's handlers have mastered the arcane science of Keywords ...and us.
This is why I use Startpage for my searches.
I look up a lot of arcane stuff to get correct details for FR posts, and I really don't want each one of them to generate an ad campaign in my inbox.
Apparently every time I look up anything to do with Obama, they ASSUME this means I want to see his or Mooooooooosehelle's ugky face in a pop-up asking for money on my home page!
And don't even get me started on what happened after I clicked through a link a FReeper gave to "pink wink"...
Thanks for your ping to your interesting take on the topic.
