I have noticed during my time on earth, that conservatism and liberalism runs in the family. I would guess that most people who get an abortion are not conservatives but are liberals. Had they all gone full term with their pregnancies and many of those kids would grow up to have liberal babies, the number of them born would be close to 100 million. They would have easily won the last election with that many of them.(I am not even close to a statistician, wild ass guesser would be accurate).
So if conservatives are going to keep fighting against abortion, at least point out that your are trying to save liberals, it might just gob smack them!
It's not a choice, it's a clump of tissue.
If we had another 40MM adults who could be relied on to vote 95% demonrat where would the country be.
If we're going to be all for abortions now, what difference would it make?
Point is, no President can overturn their precious abortion laws. - That would take a lot more than a President; it would take enough citizens who would rise up and SEE the truth about abortions - that they ARE genocide. A large group in this country has taken the good gifts, the human resources that God gives us, and thrown them back in his face.
Please, the plural of baby is babies, not baby’s. Didn’t anybody here get past third grade? When making the plural of a common noun that ends in Y - baby, candy, etc. you drop the Y and add I E S.
Thank you; sometimes the grammar on this site is atrocious. It provides fodder for “the other side” to criticize us. That’s the last thing we need in this war of left v. right.
More than half the babies pro-lifers want to save are girls. It’s amazing that being pro-life can be successfully framed as a “war on women”.
Hey bbeb,
I flipped out when you mentioned “Wild Ass Guesses.” When I was in Manufacturing Engineering, my colleagues and I engaged in making “WAG Estimates” all the time. Design Engineering would come up with an idea and present it to top management. Then management would ask US for an estimated cost to manufacture. We made lottsa’ WAG Estimates in those days. And we were impressively accurate, in most cases. Thanx. ;o)
Thank you for writing, I so agree. It angers and frustrates me when I see mockery of us everywhere as illiterates. And it mystifies me that so many on FR can’t write the plural of a simple noun. What happened in our schools?
Please be consistent:
Maybe prolifer's should start pointing out there trying to save liberal baby's?
And go to rallies, and lobby their rep’s, and....
Even further outside the box would be to address equal legal rights for men (fathers). In the case of an unwanted pregnancy/child, the woman has the option of abortion, or putting the child up for adoption. The man has neither of these options should he feel equally burdened or mentally or economically stressed (punished by???) a baby. Nor can he have the option of keeping the child.
He is shamed if he shirks his fatherly responsiblity and litigated against if he does not provide material support. In other words, there is talk of “choice” but where are the equal choices for the other partner in a world where women claim to be strong, independent and equal? Funny thing is that it used to be the complete opposite. The woman was the one with all the responsibility and the man could more easily just walk away since paternity was difficult to prove and society heaped shame on a woman either aborting or giving up her child. Why are women the only ones allowed to have “mental health” issues around being a parent? Indeed, this is way outside the box thinking, but sometimes that is what it takes.
I'm also struck by the disconnect between those two sentences. Take a look around at everyone who's "encouraging Latinos now to get on the abortion bandwagon" and consider their political affiliations. You may be pleasantly surprised.
I'd also ask why it is that those Demonrats are so demonic anyway, but maybe I shouldn't ask so many questions in one post.
There are also lots of people who don't seem to see the problem with promoting both Sexual Diversity and Religious Diversity (for Muslims, of course, not for those intolerant, uncivil fundamentalist Christians--EWWWW, FUNDIES!!!!!) without addressing what happens when the two collide.
Then again, all this is a sign: if you prefer a little intellectual rigor, certain "enlightened" political movements aren't for you.

The Roe Effect
The right to abortion has diminished the number of Democratic voters.

Never, ever, challenge someone who posts drunk.
Not only does it annoy the drunk poster but it is largely a waste of the one’s time.
Uh, could you explain your confusion in terms a drunk poster could understand? I AM curious.
Not posting drunk is also a good idea.

So here goes:

Well, I'd bet that most people who are "encouraging Latinos now to get on the abortion bandwagon" are either Democrats or those who think like them. (I am especially reminded of Margaret Sanger and her protegees.)
Now, to be fair, I am not saying that therefore you are a RINO or a stealth Democrat--but given the usual conservative case against abortion, I'm wondering how you'd make a case for abortion that doesn't just overlap, more or less, with the usual leftist or Democrat position.
I also wrote,

In other words, why do you call them "Demonrats"? After all, for most people who use the term, abortion issues are around the top of the list; my gut sense is that if the Democrat party were mostly pro-life, I wouldn't hear "Demonrat" half as much.
Now, you are not "most people," but please explain your thought process.
Caught me drunk again. I’ll respond in the AM.
