Ann Coulter thinks Mitt Romney was superior to Ronald Reagan, and she is embarrassing herself

Really Ann? You mean Romney's one debate bests Reagan's decades of advocacy for conservatism, his battles with the Republican establishment, and his building a conservative movement? Fact is Romney has done nothing for conservatism. I repeat, nothing. No leadership. No grassroots efforts. No major policy initiatives. Nothing. Reagan won two landslides. Romney won nothing. Cherry-picking facts Ann, in some strange cult-like obsession, fools no one. Same with your cheerleading for Chris Christie.

I don’t think you disagree at all, I think you are just devoted to Romney and just like Romney, you despise Reagan, and like getting digs in at him.

Remember that Romney’s attacks on Reagan, and out and out lies about him, go back many years.

You know that Romney even left the Republican party and quit being a republican at all, he even fund raised and voted as a democrat.

Romney did not like Reagan at all. If you want to deal with suing, call a lawyer, I guess you know that Romney is a lawyer?

An idiot would be the romneybot that thinks the world was going to find something “Reaganesque” in the old senior citizen liberal from Massachusetts.

Ann likes that bloated slob Chris Christie, too.
She’s a northeast, establishment Republican who fits easily right into that mold.
Nobody pays much attention to her around here anymore.

To fully understand the enemy you must be able to become them. This is what I believe Coulter did
to the extent of writing conservative books to make her fortune. Now it doesn't matter.
We were so easy.

I realize this is an old thread but jeez ansel, you really must loath Romney and even though he will surely not be president ever, your disdain is tiresome. Give it a rest already.

Yes, we all know we don’t want/need another fraud, but Romney is old news, get over it already.

I see you avoided the question of whether you're glad Romney was defeated.

Frankly, I'm fed up with FR, there are too many on here with a death wish and they got it. FR has helped kill our republic. We will never get it back and you helped kill it.

Enjoy Obama tyranny--it's all yours!!

Hat's off to you for setting my words straight. I've been posting elsewhere on FR, especially prior to the election this month, that Romney's forecasted win of 50-48 was really no different than Reagan's, except for the complication of the 3rd party candidate in 1980. Most of the FR yahoos were critizing Romney for not being a strong enough candidate to get 55% of the vote.

As you correctly point out there is an establishemnt that does not want to rock the boat. They are completely happy to be the minority party. They don’t want to lead, because the risks of fixing the present mess are profound.

I'm actually referring to an establishment of which the Republican establishment is just the political arm.

We tend to think of our politicians as being the ones who "come up with answers", but politicians actually just a) horse-trade (negotiate with other politicians to pass or oppose legislation, and b) interface with the public.

"Experts" come up with all the ideas, and politicians' legislative staffs work with "experts" whenever legislation is being written.

If you think about it for a minute, that enables the "experts" to exert the largest influence on the significant parts of the "big picture". Experts outlast politicians, as experts do not have to be elected. Some experts are left wing (with the Democratic Party as their political arm), others focused on economic interests, some on some lofty goals of security or stability.

In the interest of working "smart" on America's problems, I'm exploring an idea that I've proposed in these posts:

Sounds like Ann got her marching orders from the GOP-e - Libderal light is the new mime.

Used to respect her, but no more. She’s part of the problem, not the solution.

Conservatives resent that you rinos gave us Obama again, but here you are, still promoting the loser from Massachusetts.

Seven years that whack case has been pushed forward by the anti-conservatives, and you succeeded in giving Jimmy Carter his second term.

What is your reaction, shame, embarrassment, nope, you immediately start work on doing it again.

This is a fresh thread and you aren’t reading it if you think Romney and his weeks old disaster is old news, of course you were not being truthful in those claims anyway.

You guys are pushing him again, some of you are actually calling for him to run in 2016.

Well, some of us yahoos realized Romney wasn’t a strong enough candidate to begin with. We lost the election the moment people believed the lie that Romney was the only possible chance to win. If liberal is the only way to win, we’ve already lost.

For years I’ve been saying that picking a liberal like Romney was the surest way to a loss because he’s not a conservative and can’t run on or defend conservative principles. Romney proved that assessment to be 100% correct.

Reagan was proof that friends of Romney, the GOPe, RINO liberals’ belief that conservatives would never win were indeed lies and anyone falling for them should consider themselves deceived.

LOL, because the personal interrogation game is one of the first things rinos and liberals start with, to get off target and to attempt to personalize the political.

The real question here is why you are determined to keep Romney and his radical left wing agenda, alive, and viable, now that the election is over.

Why are you promoting Romney now, today?

Is it his rejecting of the prolife party platform? To continue the fight against the tea party? To advance Romney’s agenda to homosexualize the military and the Boy Scouts?

Ann is in a tough spot entirely of her own making. Having deserted many of her heretofore loyal readers to embrace the liberal wing of the Republican Party, her persona now makes it impossible for her to ‘change her mind’ in writing.

Gee. That’s too bad, huh?
