Petitions to Secede From US Explode, Now Exceed 675,000; Texas Approaches 100k

Every single state in the union has created a petition to secede from the United States in the aftermath of President Obama's reelection.

Already, in a mere week, seven states have exceeded 25,000 each, which triggers an automatic review from the White House (or so they've promised). Those states are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

At the time of writing, Texas has already garnered an incredible 97,083 signatures. In fact, over a thousand had signed the petition in the time it took to write this article.

Texas's petition reads:

The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government's neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it's citizens' standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.
Combined, across the nation the number of signatures has exceeded 675,000 and it rapidly growing.

He thinks because he can ridicule other people he is smarter than they are. Bill Maher/Jon Stewart type.

Getting 100,000 people to publicly support secession in one state is a pretty amazing development. And that is just what we see.

Obama should be trying to calm this and re-unite the nation, instead he is beating his chest and every other word out of his mouth is "mandate". Being a good leader just isn't in his DNA.

Hhhmm... Carville, Carney, Whatshername-Schultz, Snake-head... Looks like mh is in questionable company...

Agreed. The seven years I lived in Texas, the RoTies were considered kind of fringe. Like an Uncle that tells really outlandish stories at the family gatherings. Some of which may not be appropriate...

Now? I don't think I've ever seen the sentiment for breaking up the Union this high. People are fed up with both Parties and the outright monstrosity that our FedGov has become. We keep trying to change it and things just keep getting worse. All of the "usual wisdom" on how those changes should be done no longer seem to apply.

We tried to warn people that Obama would be the undoing of this Nation. That Marxism kills entire Countries... Not our fault if they fail to listen.
