Wrong. Bad advice.

I worked in the industry. Insurance companies are threatened with lawsuits by the hundreds every day. Their reply will always be have a nice day. “Let us know the name of your lawyer when you get one”.

Insurance company management know that lawsuits take years to settle and even if they have to pay, the money they earn over the years for not paying the claim makes up for any payout made early in the claim.
