She warned the GOP back in August many times not to ignore Ron Paul or his supporters or some of the issues he advocated.
Looks like Sarah was right.
Between what they did to her and ron paul - looks like the republican party screwed the pooch.
On many important fiscal issues there was no difference.
Both candidates and vp candidates support big government, sometimes on different things, but essentially endless spending, pork etc.
Of the 4 candidates, 3 voted for the TARP bailouts and Romney said he would have if he had been in Congress.
Where is the choice there for people who opposed big government bailouts?
I'd say right where the GOP establishment and Romney wanted her to be. Same with Newt and Cain.
She had the good sense not seek office under the GOP banner.
They would never have supported her and everyone knows that, especially Palin.
Anybody know the stats on the number of potential white voters vs 4 yrs ago?
I know we are dying off and being replaced by non-whites.
All the US population growth is due to non-white births and immigration, isn’t it?
After Rove and others marginalized her after the mid terms - I think she said “Screw It - let em win on their own”
GOP and Romney campaign throw the Tea Party, Palin & supporters, and Ron Paul & supporters under the bus and then wonder why no one showed up to vote for their RINO.
I did vote for Romney but I can see why many Republicans/Conservatives stayed home.
Exactly! I am amazed that so many here forget Romney was the only one NOT marginalizing Paul. In fact, the two signed some sort of ceasefire pact when the primary began.
The libertarian position is very clear - Go to the most extreme measures to save the American economy, and go to the most extreme measures to destroy America socially. Gary Johnson backed gay marriage. There is NO WAY that crap is getting my vote. Besides, I’m hesitant to trust people who think Iran is a rational nation that can be reasoned with.
While I am dissatisfied with the party and its leaders, I’m not ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater and piss on centuries of tradition and culture.
What are you supposed to give them? Free dope?
After Rove and others marginalized her after the mid terms - I think she said Screw It - let em win on their own
Sarah Shrugged!
See that is the problem - those who hate paul only cite the drug thing - but his message on debt, currency, spending, freedom, is dead on.
Yup. A lot of people shrugged.
Paul and Palin re-elected Obama? Ron Paul perhaps favored Obama, but I do not believe for a second that Palin did.
What are you supposed to give them? Free dope?
Lack of turnout got obama re-elected. Lack of young people got obama elected.
I was kind of being funny.
Paul is great on the economy, but some things he thinks are looney.
Let’s assume that in some crazy world Paul were elected. Does anyone seriously believe he would get even 50% done of what he is for?
What I like about Paul is that you know with him that the bad stuff would stop.
You want to know one issue I kept hearing over and over and over w Romney / Obama - the NDAA.
Had Romney not supported that he could have destroyed Obama on his civil rights record of treason.
That is to funny.
There weren’t even Ron Paul voters to do anything, Johnson gobbled up enough votes a libertarian to keep Romney for winning in three states.
Libertarians need to stop hanging out in the Republican party and throwing their little fits then just hang out with their own kind.
Again - we ignore Sarah’s warning at our peril.
We can’t win elections if we dont have our traditional core groups behind the GOP
Ever see the left screw over their groups like the GOP does?
I do not hate Ron Paul.
I do oppose his racism, his anti-Semitism, his anti-national defense, his anti-life and his lack of understanding of the US Constitution while blaming America first for very thing.
His pro drug prostitution positions are minor compared to the rest.
So we don’t win unless we capitulate to third parties - ok
There is nothing about the current libertarian party that is part of the core group of Republicans.
