Yes. If you have a business make the necessary employee cuts to survive. Anyway, most likely many of those employees in Illinois voted for Obama.

THE WSJ'S SMALL-BUSINESS TEAM

Hiring shift: Some low-wage employers are moving toward hiring part-time workers instead of full-time ones to mitigate the health-care overhaul's requirement that large companies provide health insurance for full-time workers or pay a fee. WSJ.

There are a thousand small ways to "Go Galt." We should discuss them here on FR.

Frankly, it's time to cultivate underground markets and to start figuring out ways to keep tax revenue out of the hands of the government.

I live in the western Chicago suburbs, but I am currently in talks with an employer to take a job in Orlando, FL. No state income tax, half the property tax, balanced budgets, and concealed carry (NO FOID!).

It’s like heaven compared to the People’s Republic of Illinoi-istan.

Two years ago, two of my buddies from grad school up here moved to Texas. These are high earning and productive tax-paying chaps.

As more taxpayers like myself leave IL for places like FL, TX, and other points south, IL will continue to implode on itself at an exponentially increasing rate.

Pop the popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the fireworks.

Good grief, what are successful people doing in Illinois??? They can’t be too smart if they can’t find Indiana, the state with a terrific Republican governor and sensible legislators.

I’ve been working in central IL for 20+ years. GOD willing next year I’ll be headed back home to my native Tennessee or neighboring mid-South state. Sick and tired of the Marxist crap up here.

Just for those who may not follow IL politics - thanks mainly to gerrymandering, four Republican congressmen were defeated by traditional democrats: Biggert, Schilling, Walsh, and Dold, most of which were first-time Tea Party winners from 2010.

Re-districting was a major factor to be sure, but the Tea Party needs to get re-energized and develop a long-term plan for change. Joe Walsh is already talking about running for Governor, and it’s worth remembering that we had two very good Republican governors before Blago and the present idiot, Pat Quinn.

Would love to leave now, but waiting for the housing market to pick up a bit. Don’t want to take a complete bath on my house.

Whatever happened to the 12-10 electoral split movement? Downstate Illinois was to get 10 votes? And when should downstaters press for making their own state?

move to a red state, a real red state

I can sell you 35 acres off my farm for 105K and my builder pal will build a custom house for about $65 a sq foot if as he says “you don't go crazy with front doors and things.”

11 miles from wal mart, 100 miles from memphis airport and nashville airport.

country living at its best

I’m unemployed and will be leaving the state as soon as I get the opportunity. For some time, I’ve been doing what I can to starve the beast: I do all the purchasing I can in Indiana. Chicago, the county, and the state have made that not only a choice but sometimes a necessity. The burdensome taxation has destoyed and discouraged a lot of small business and retail in my area, while such businesses thrive in Indiana. There are no gas stations in my neighborhood and none for several miles in Illinois. The first stop in Indiana — a mile away —is a gas station, and there is a steady stream of traffic from Illinois.

The easiest way would be to move to Los Angeles, they just voted to give Illegal Aliens ID to open Bank Accounts and work as well as get needed city services like Welfare and EBT cards., as soon as this program is implemented I plan on Getting my New ID as Jose Smith, open a Bank account and Start paying Jose Smith instead of Paying Myself. And since Jose Smith will not have a SS# he will not be REQUIRED TO FILE OR PAY INCOME TAXES at any Level, especially since Jose Smith is SELF EMPLOYED. I can’t wait. By the way if a few hundred thousand Americam Citizens did this the program will end quickly. So now to my important question, When I do this and a Bank refuses to allow me to open an account, can I SUE THEM INTO OBLIVION for DISCRIMINATION???

I’ve been hiring a lot of contractors through elance.com rather than hiring Minnesota employees.

I’m planning to do some layoffs when the new health insurance costs come in.

When I hire using Elance again, I’m going to make a point to hire those from red states.

As part of our on-going economic strategy to “starve the beast”. We no longer do business in, or with, any of the blue states if at all possible. We will find suppliers and clients in the red states wherever and whenever possible. IF you are a successful blue state business owner, GTFO while you have the chance. This especially applies to gun manufacturers...you should move to an American red-state business climate. Socialism will not help your business. It will tax you to death.

Stop hiring. Stop fighting them. Invest elsewhere.

In a free society there is a tendency in a free market toward the establishment of a uniform rate of profit on capital invested in all the different branches of industry.A rational capitalist with funds to invest should naturally prefer to male investments that earn a high rate of profit and withdraw funds from situations earning a low rate of return.
