SMACKDOWN! Judge to Allred: We Don't Deny Due Process on Political Grounds
The Red Side of Life Conservative Musings from New York ^ | 10-24-12 | RedInNewYork

Today has been nothing short of an absolute embarrassment for Obama donor and Attorney Gloria Allred.

First, Allred's much ballyhooed "October Surprise" was revealed to be an absolute dud. Her claim is that Mitt Romney was responsible for the very wealthy ex-wife of Staples founder, Tom Stemberg, not getting even more money in the couple's divorce settlement reached in the early 90s.

Stated differently, Mitt Romney prevented the rich, 1%er Corporate ex-Wife from getting richer. On this alone, Romney should be an OWS folk hero.

Viewed through a political lens, I do not think the working wives of unemployed miners in Ohio will have much sympathy for the petty complaints of a woman who is worth millions, while they toil away just trying to make ends meet.

But, here's the kicker. During the hearing, Allred had the temerity ask the Judge to make an expedited decision because "there is an election coming up." The MA Judge rounded sharply on Allred, scolding her and stating that she, the Judge, would not deny a party due process because of an election. Allred was deflated, and the Judge granted an adjournment.

Clearly, Allred is just playing politics again, as the Obama campaign becomes more and more desperate, but this latest episode again raises important issues about Allered herself. In particular, this question lingers: how does Allred just happen to always have the right clients at the right political time? This is relevant because, if Allred - directly or via third-parties - is actively soliciting these people, then her actions are in clear violation of California Rules of Conduct 1-400.

Paging the California Bar...

California bar? Do you suppose there’s a Republican or patriot among them?

Maybe Allred will twitter a 5 Million$ charity challenge to Mitt to force the release of his testimony. But probably not, because he'd release it.

Donald won this one, without staining Romney by flinging mud. Obama would have been wise to put the brakes on Gloria. Add another quarter point to the landslide.

I don’t understand why the Donald pulled back. You used to be able to shoot at an enemy in retreat because you knew they would come back another day.

I understand why Trump pulled back. He doesn’t want to do anything as silly as All RED. I think his goal was to use this just in case.

No harm, no foul.

And to add insult to injury, the Romney campaign said he had no objection to releasing the information, though of course Romney really isn’t a party to the matter and would have no say-so one way or the other anyway.

The Obammunists must really have nothing if this is the best they can come up with this late in the game. I guess Romney really is squeaky clean, and that’s really a tough thing for the Bamster to handle since he’s always traded in dirt his whole life to get to where he is today. I guess the dirt train finally ran out on Obummer and he’s got no where to go.

The goal isn’t to shoot a retreating enemy, it’s to dominate news cycles. If Trump really has something it needs to be held until it can be used to overshadow a potentially damaging attack.

And we still don’t know what’s in the Romney testimony. It seemed strange to me that Romney’s lawyer asked for the material to be released quickly and the judge then gave them a day to look it over.

I don’t trust the judge and I think we’re seeing the two sides circle each other in feint and counterfeint.

Likely heeded to the nervous Nellies and other wimps who think that Obama would get a 'sympathy bounce' from all the wet noodles.

The announcement did what was desired: it contributed to O’Zero’s unease in the last debate. He had to be wondering just which of many skeletons that Trump had.

What about America’s due process rights with respect to Benghazigate, F&Fgate, Solyndragate, Delphi Pensiongate?

If this keeps up, we can start having faith in the judicial system again.

Unless, Alred is allowed to keep shopping.

I agree this is all about Allred. Trump has the trump card but he can’t play it until Allred plays her card. It’s cat and mouse and Allred is the mouse.

Allred doesn’t need to have the records released. She just needs the idea of sealed records to accuse President Romney of covering up his past testimony.

Just like Allred accused Cain of sexual harassment and talked about the sealed complaint but Cain didn’t have the power to release the complaint and the company didn’t release the files either. That gave Allred the cover to make false claims and innuendo with Cain not able to fight it with documentation. Cain obviously had a problem and was ineffective in fighting it.

Now with Trump showing that Obama is hiding things, it makes it tougher for Allred to claim President Romney is hiding things. If the judge doesn’t release the sealed testimony, then they ask Romney to come clean and if he does they can then release the documentation and attack as lies anything that Presdient Romney didn’t remember exactly right from 20+ tears ago.

Trump is the ultimate trump card. He can use Allred’s own strategy against her and he is a much bigger celebrity than her. No matter what he said today, he can come out with anything else at any time and knock Allred off the news if she comes out with her own trumped up charges.

For example, if the divorce filings do exist, it can become a big deal because it is something completely new on Obama that nobody knew about. What if the filing is released and it has Michele accusing Barack of being gay or accuses him of beating her? What if she filed pictures or video of him doing gay things or pictures of her bruises back then? The press would have to cover it and it would affect the election without them being able to blame President Romney’s campaign of dirty tricks.

I think you are absolutely correct. Trump sent a message that he had very damaging information and that was to shut Allred down.

She should be disbarred over this stunt.

Just because she “represents” someone, does not mean there is an actual “case or controversy”.

She is USING the courts for pure political purposes!

From the sound of this quote it seems that that might be the case.Howevermwe must remember that this is Massachusetts, home of the crookedest judges on the planet. And we must also remember that this judge was appointed by the filthiest Governor to have ever drawn breath..."Coupe Deval" Patrick, longtime friend of Osama Obama himself. They go back to their Chicago ACORN days together.

Boy, what I would give to see a video of that.
