Why should my well-informed, conservative sister-in-law who has been lurking regularly at FR for months, if not years now, sign up for an account here? For some reason, she is reluctant. Help me convince her with some good FReeper common sense and humour, and I'll show her this thread later.
P.S. Tonight I may have recruited a very well informed, conservative neighbour to join the forces too. :) We went to the Israel Awareness event at Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada, CO and she got a signed book by Pastor John Hagee.
Going to read the Hillary/Benghazi article now. I’m not very up to date lately. So sad what was allowed to happen to that man and others.

Does she have an alien technology, reverse engineered, flame retardant suit that will stand up to a week’s worth of flames? We seem to have a bad habit of eating our own. Sometimes I feel I’ve been spoofed/key logged and sent to DU.

For the most part, I have found FR to be the premier source for a look at news from around the world, with an outstanding set of user replies from a broad conservative point of view. I learn so many things, day after day here. Highlights of being on FR over the years: George Bush/Al Gore election night and ensuing court battles (hanging chads anyone); attacks on 9/11 (we knew who it was first); loss of the space shuttle (west coast viewers saw it happen long before the media reported it); terror attacks over Russia (two planes taken down by Chechen women); Dan Rather’s faking of a performance review of George Bush in the TANG (WOW!). The list can go on.
But, this site has helped me to not always run with first impression of headlines, it has taught me how to interpret liberal media with a conservative eye. For instance, when Obama puts out an ad complaining about Romney only paying 15% on his investment income, I know better and was able to explain it to a coworker, double taxation.

Everyone give a warm welcome to our newest FReeper, Startswithastep. A great conservative lady and we will be able to party with her election night!
Because, with the exception of G-d and family, Free Republic makes you feel like part of a larger family that you can turn to 24/7 when you are up or down, no matter what. You never feel alone.
Also, how many times has she read a post or an article and in her mind thought, “No. No. That isn’t right, it’s THIS or THAT,” but couldn’t give her opinion and it was frustrating? I bet more than once.
