Why should my well-informed, conservative sister-in-law who has been lurking regularly at FR for months, if not years now, sign up for an account here? For some reason, she is reluctant. Help me convince her with some good FReeper common sense and humour, and I'll show her this thread later.
P.S. Tonight I may have recruited a very well informed, conservative neighbour to join the forces too. :) We went to the Israel Awareness event at Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada, CO and she got a signed book by Pastor John Hagee.
As long as she never says one negative thing about Romney the “So, Your gonna vote for Obama?!” crowd will leave her alone.
If shes worried about the guys hitting on her tell her to pick a screen name that won’t give her gender away.
Be true to your conservative values and laugh at the posters who attack you if there are any.
Shes welcome to join is when Romney wins and we take the senate..
But, FR will probably crash and we’ll have to use facebook or yahoo groups.
why would you pass up a once in a lifetime chance to have the name “beaversmom’s sister-in-law” ?
You are so lucky to have a conservative sister in law.
So are the grumpy old man like comments from you or your wife? If you sound sweet, then I know it’s your wife? :)
LOL!!! :0
Yes, reverse psychology does work well. Sometimes a tonic of peer pressure and public pleading is as effective.
Definitely!
“So are the grumpy old man like comments from you or your wife?”
I proudly take responsibility for all of them!!!!
On a more serious note...I learn so much from the posts here. Ideas, opinions, facts and speculations...the vast mental pool to learn from here on FR is the best...and some days just loads of fun and a good laugh. Tell her to just jump on in...the worst is she will be zotted and called a troll, but most likely welcomed warmly. Even during this election time. Come on in the waters fine. :-)
She is a Christian BG! I’m not, but she is.
Spoken like a true, good conservative (occasionally grumpy) man. :)
I’m not much at convincing others, but I’d ask her if she has any opinions she’d like to sneer at...
I think that’s a great practical idea. She might have trouble getting an account the closer it gets to election time! And when Romney wins, she needs to be able to post.
Because she probably won’t read stuff like this, anywhere else.

Wouldja just DO it beaversmom’s conservative sister-in-law with no name? ;)
You don’t even have to post for awhile...it took me forever to jump in the water.. Pleeeeeeezzzzeee....
Oh come all ye faithful.. SMIRK
Fresh fish, newbee, whahooooo.. We will sharpen our knives and tongues.. Bring her on.. Yes sirreee..
We can pick her first post apart, jump on her spelling, make fun of her name.. Yep
Wait.. does she have any good recipes??.. :)
When she’s ready, she will. A fine wine must not be uncorked (decorked?) before its time.
She's not very good in the kitchen. But you are, right? See, another reason to get her on here! She can start conversing with you for tips! :)
She can’t post a snarky reply if she is only a lurker, only members can. I lurked for months too. But finally gave in. My hesitation was because
I couldn’t think of a screen name.
Is that you, Orson?
Orson Welles for Paul Masson Wine (April 2, 1979)

Well, I'll be darned. Something else we have in common :-)
