Thanks for the pic...waiting to see the ones as he stepped off....he was spinning before he went hypersonic and it really concerned me. Flat spins are not good but he did as trained and stuck his left arm out until his spin slowed enough to allow him to stabilized.

These are smart guys ~ they got the suit, they got the capsule, they got the chutes ~ all they need is a new balloon and I understood from the broadcast this was the backup balloon, so they got their extra.

Obama can go up in that outfit and at 130,000 feet JUMP OUT ~ then he'll know what 'He did do that' means!

This is the photo from his first jump that captured my imagination. The view is looking east, and the distinctive white patches are the “South Dunes” of the Mescalero Dunes area, with the Mescalero Escarpment just beyond to the east. The escarpment was mentioned on the broadcast I watched on the Discovery Channel.

These same dunes showed up directly beneath the capsule in Sunday’s jump, and you can see them in the overhead shot of his initial plunge. Of course, this shows that he had drifted further to the east this time, and concern about this was discussed during the coverage.

Since they were right below him, I wonder how far away he landed from them.
