It’s best to calculate the parameters so the ratio remains relatively fixed.

You don't have to do that. If you put either height or width, and omit the other, the ratio is maintained without having to calculate. I found that out one day when I misspelled one of the two and the pic came out great anyway.

The true beauty of that is that you don’t even have to know the original size. You just tell it what size you’d like, and it fills in the blank.

If you see a photo and don’t know the size, you can pick 400 for the height (as an example), and it will do the rest.

Up until now, I had to check out the size and make some quick calculations.
