I could answer but it would be extremely inappropriate for FR.
I think you are probably 100% correct
“I guess you havent heard that Candys out.”
Candy needs to change her name to salad!
And ask if Obamacares not raising taxes why theyve already hired 10,000 new IRS agents.
That would be a great response from Romney...lol
And why all the ramping up with police state technology, equipment and firepower
Romney has already demonstrated he thinks on his feet WAY better than Obama, and because a townhall format is going to be more volatile than having the moderator run the whole show, Romney should be in a better position than Obama from that perspective.
Also, consider that Romney should be going into this debate with some confidence due to his first knockout performance, and Obama is going to probably be way more nervous due to his earlier terrible performance and the fact that he’s under even more pressure than the first debate because the stakes for him are even higher this time since he did so badly the first time.
I suspect that Mitt has figured out how to get under Obama’s skin, and that unlike Obama, Mitt can control his emotions. I think part of Obama’s problem is that he probably can’t control his emotions and the resulting internal turmoil of trying to appear calm while he is internally seething greatly interferes with his thinking ability.
I’ve also wondered if part of Obama’s awful performance is because his internal polls show he’s going to lose re-election and yet he is still being forced into the humiliation of these debates in which he faces an opponent who is smarter and more capable than himself. Romney on the other hand may already know he’s probably going to be the next President, and is therefore may be acting accordingly.
During these debates, Obama is totally on his own without the adoring handpicked crowds, the worshiping press, total control over everyone else in the room because he’s “The President”, and someone to whisper all the answers in his ear. Obama really is an empty suit, and that’s not going to change from the first debate either, so I’m not expecting Obama to be that much better in the subsequent debates. It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s even worse than the first time.
“I thought the next debate is on foreign policy.”
Yeah, I thought that too. You see, even for dedicated Freepers like ourselves it’s hard to keep up!
Evidently the next “debate” is really a Town Hall format and the Third Debate will be on Foreign Policy.
So, Romney needs to prep with some group of random lefties for the next one. And you know what, I wouldn’t put it past him to do just that.
Besides, some ad they ran and focus-grouped, where he talks directly to the camera tested real well with women, so he should feel confident.
He’s a NICE GUY, Romney is. Some here have major problems with him, politically, but by most operative standards he’s a NICE GUY.
Obama is NOT a Nice Guy, at best he’s a raving ego-maniac. They say Nice Guys finish last, but in a group people like them. And NOBODY likes a raving ego-maniac.
Advantage: Romney.
“I see that Gallup (the poll people?) is going to select the participants”
That’s good. Thanks for posting that. I trust them well enough.
Am I correct?
The town hall is foreign and domestic and the third one is foreign policy
I will be shocked if someone in the audience doesn’t CRY while questioning 0bama.
-Mr Obama, why did you say to the Russian Prime Minister that you had to wait until after the election to have “flexibility”? What would you do to cause an effect on the election that the American people would oppose in an agreement with a -maybe- former mortal enemy? Treason?
-Why didn’t you take the intelligence briefings warning of the threats to safety of our Ambassador three other dead Americans?
-You came to office claiming to make other countries love and respect us again. Given the spread of Islamic extremism in the middle east, the attacks on our Embassies and people, the burning in effigy of images of yourself and the American flag in dozens of countries, are we if fact better off internationally than we were four years ago?
Debate on foreign policy is townhall with cretins lining up to axe questions displaying their ignorance which the candidates will not be allowed to expose? NFG!
Man up dude. This isn’t Tiddly Winks...
LOL!
"Look, look...that's...sigh...that's not the point, ok...?"
Romney as reported in the WSJ, today or yesterday, runs a tight ship preparing for these debates. Discipline and no yesmen there.
And the perfect name for some one interviewing the "candy man".
Who gave us 0bama ph0nes?
Filled em up for free?
“26 year old lesbians with breast cancer that need their birth control pills paid for.”
Why would lesbians need birth control pills???????????????????
