He was known to like rich white men, and Sinclair appeared rich simply by having rented a limo.

I absolutely do not defend those comments. In fact, I condemn them. Let us leave aside for a moment that the comments were, in fact, made by a man of color: I still roundly condemn them. However, I DO defend the poster from the utterly wrongheaded and unfair charge of racism.
