A few years ago, a message came in to this website on the FAQ line from a young actress from Georgia (the one from the former USSR, not the State with Atlanta in it) called Anna Gurji. She sent a link to her webpage and to films she had made in Georgia, and told me she was a fan, and if she ever came to the US, she would want to be in something of mine... (SNIP)
I told her to write her story for me, to say what she wanted, and I would put it up here for her, as she wrote it, to get her message to the world. The best weapon against lies is the truth, after all.
So here's what Anna knows about the truth:

very bizarre... to film a character named “George”,
and then later have him (BADLY!) dubbed in as “Muhammad” ?

If some demonstrator-in-waiting gets offended, too bad. Americans make fun of and criticize themselves, too, but, mostly, we just get over it! Although news robots never seem to notice, Christians and Jews almost never smother, stone, sodomize, beat to death, or behead people who make fun of their faith. If so, there wouldn't be anyone left to present the evening news or publish a newspaper.

Well, if this is accurate, this actress has been victimized, but she also buys into the meme that the film has caused all the violence and killing. She is also for world peace and to forgive and care for your enemy. This is a kumbaya leftist position and fits well with the Obama Administration position that everything is the fault of the evil film and the evil, colonialist, US.

I don’t think the actress has to believe the narrative about the trailer causing the rioting to be in fear for her life. There has been at least one “fatwa” issued to kill anybody involved in it, and that is a real threat. Even in the USA.
She may buy into that meme, but I think she’s more afraid for her safety from those offended by it and will come after her for part in the production. And, sadly, in some parts of the world, that is a genuine fear to have.

Maybe you didn't notice the filmmaker being escorted out of his home at 3:00 in the morning, by more armed officers than the ambassador who got killed had guarding him.
The movie didn't hurt Billy Zane, Busey or any of the other American actors. Everyone in Hollywood knows actors will take any job they can get and are not at all responsible for the words they speak.
Of course, now that she's come forward and gone public, I doubt any production company will risk having their movie targeted by Muslim terrorists.
That anti-american propaganda film that Busey did was that part of the world’s biggest budget film ever, and the media protected Busey’s anti-American efforts.
Hollywood supported that anti-American film, but will not support an anti-Islam film.
