If youre not taking flak, youre not over the target.
Via Hollywood Reporter:
Perhaps the president was hoping 2016: Obamas America would come and go unnoticed like so many other political documentaries. But seven weeks after its opening, the film is still going strong, promptingBarack Obama to finally respond, which he has done through a lengthy entry at his campaigns website that calls the movie a deliberate distortion of his record and world view.
The entry at BarackObama.com quotes from several negative reviews of the film and claims Dinesh DSouza, who stars in the film based on his book, The Roots of Obamas Rage, has a long history of attempting to add a veneer of intellectual respectability to fringe theories, conspiratorial fear-mongering and flat-out falsehoods.
The entry is dated Sept. 5, just ahead of the weekend in which 2016: Obamas America became the second most popular political documentary in history, behind only Fahrenheit 9/11, and the sixth most popular documentary of any kind. The movie has earned $26 million domestically since opening July 13.
Among the movies inaccuracies, according to BarackObama.com, are the following:
DSouza falsely claimed that President Obama said he didnt believe in American Exceptionalism …
DSouza falsely asserted that President Obama funded $2 billion in Brazilian oil exploration even though numerous fact checkers and reporters have noted that President Obama had nothing to do with the loan.”

The truth hurts!!
Get your sorry *ss back to Kenya, Barack O’dorkbrain.
Even some of your butt kissers are beginning to get the picture.
They can’t handle the truth, it interferes with their lies.
I don’t care for political propaganda pretending to be documentary, so I’ll not pay to see this film myself. That said, it MUST be having some kind of effect, or they simply would not have mentioned it at all.
DSouza says it every day about the conspiracy topic, "Obama wrote it in a 500 page book."
yitbos
It’s #3 at the box office...only $20,000 behind the #1 film.
YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!
You know you are over the target when you are taking flak.
Good...make a big deal so more people go see it.
This is great news. Just spell the name right....
Odumbo weighed in at the right time, just as viewership was starting to fade. Nice publicity boost.
I don't view it as a documentary. I saw it, and recommend it. Using Barry's own words (in his own voice from the books on tape) turns out to be pretty damning when the D'Souza puts in context with known things about Barry's past. It's not even a hit piece, but more of an expose' in Barry's own words.
We have to call them out on this.
The liberals thought Farenheit 911 was an insightful inspiring movie. It was full of half truths, innuendo, and factual errors.
Haven’t seen 2016 yet. But, if we’re to be intellectually honest, even if there are half truths and innuendo, what can liberals say? It’s okay to lambast a Republican president in a movie, but not a Democrat????
fear mongering = we can’t find anything that’s not true.
The President has the power to release his college records and things he wrote so we can all judge for ourselves.
IMO he wrote like a radical and had radical views and therefore we will not have his college writings for 50 years.
Now I definitely will see it.
Question to Barry or Carnac Carney .
Why are you worried about this you are winning in the polls ?
SARC SARC
2016: Obama's America at Box Office Mojo.
The documentary is good but after seeing “Dreams from my Real Father” most of it can be dismissed. The real truth appears to be that Frank Marshall Davis is Obama’s real father, not some Kenyan.
they attacked this country 11 years ago and this ahole is here to finish the job.
hate to spoil the plotline.
