Ideas for the Romney Campaign: Post Them Here! (vanity)
Sept. 8, 2012 | me

I have seen several mentions on this site in the last few days that the Romney campaign has staffers who actively sift through this and other sites for ideas they can use. So I say, why make it hard for them? Let's post our best ideas here and let 'em have at it.

Let the fun begin!

Good idea.

How about Bush sends out drones to kill people without due process? Even American citizens?

With the Messiah's crotch salute while Hillary was holding her hand over her heart during the Pledge of Allegiance, it is a wonder that porn superstar, Jenna Jameson, didn't endorse the Messiah instead of Mitt Romney.

Utilize the “You didn’t build that” clip. Over and over. Use credible American business owners refute it.

Have some credible, high profile doctors explain the problem with Obamacare, then point out that Romney will end it.

Utilize the “No, No, No” vote from the DNC. Abominable.

Work the anti-Semitic angle (theirs, not ours!), showcasing the White House refusing to call Jerusalem the capital of Israel, etc.

Make a “promises broken” spot, listing prominent promises he’s broken, and ask how many more promises he plans to break in his second term.

I disagree-—there is nothing BUT negative about Bath-House Barry, so include most of it in the R&R campaign. Negative campaigning gets the most attention.

People know R&R can’t turn this mess around for awhile, so they need to scare the sh*t out of the population that doesn’t usually do the research Freepers do-most people are unaware of what’s coming under Barry.

And, start scaring them NOW, because time’s a wastin’.

Good ideas all.

It is just that Michelle Bachmann was my first choice (Newt was my second), and the Mittster was further down on my list.

What makes Mitt better than McCain is that Mitt doesn't deliberately rub Conservatives face in rhetorical excrement.

Remember McCain's GROW UP crack to us?

IIRC the house in Chicago (that is in the name of his lawyer and may be owned by the Dunham Trust) was in the area that would have been developed for the “Chicago Olympics”

Have quite a bit of research that will be made public in the near future. If someone in the campaign wants a preview. They should frmail me and be able to prove their connection.

1. Study and model Reagan
2. Make your message SIMPLE about economy...put it terms people can understand! No one can grasp $16 trillion deficit! Put it in terms of how Obama has devastated each family!
3. Attack Obama with the same ferocity used against Newt
4. Fire the people handling your web promotion!!! It’s pathetic and that’s where most people get their info.

From Kindergarten Cop ...

Democrat Kid #1: Let’s cut defense!

Democrat Kid #2: And increase taxes!

Democrat Kid #3: And borrow trillions for red tape.

Romney: We can’t keep cutting defense, increasing taxes, and borrowing trillions. You’re *ruining* the country.

Democrat Kid #1: You have a TUMOR!

Romney: (up close and exasperated) It’s NOT A TUMOR!!

Play the clip, “under my plan, electricity rates will necessarily skyrocket,” over and over.

Do some kind of ad with, “in the next five days we will begin to fundamentally transform the United States of America,” and then show the detrimental things obama has already done to reach his goal.

Do an ad asking Obama how much longer he expects us to wait for the economy and jobs to improve (and show him golfing).

A strong part of “2016: Obama’s America” was Dinesh D’Souza saying he wrote his book “Roots of Obama’s Rage” to try to explain some of the damaging things Obama was doing. Highlight some of those in an ad, for instance not allowing drilling in the U.S. while giving money to South American countries to drill for oil. That won’t make sense to anyone.

The first thing Romney needs to do is realize and exploit the views/opinions of millions of people as to Obama and the Chicago cabal. Don’t pussy foot on Obama’s history all the way down to what is usually used to show qualifications/eligibility. Secondly get close to Gingrich for foreign affairs and be ready (with Gingrich’s approval) to play off Gingrich in debates with Obama.

Show the Obama Flag, toss it to the ground and replace it with Old Glory. Ask Newt what he would do! Don’t go on a vacation—put the Jet ski up for the next few months. Make sure you got your facts ready when you go into debate—let Paul guide you—he’s cool and smart. Be ready for the infamous October Surprise—Obama has something dirty planned for you or Ryan. Have something ready to toss at him.

Many would like to see a statement regarding a return to righting many of the wrongs that occurred under Obama’s watch? How about a statement regarding prosecution of parties responsible for “fast and furious,” “the wall street gang that promoted derivatives,” Solyndra type situations? Many I know are most disgusted by this double standard of justice, and wish to see justice served.

He has been negative. So has Ryan. Yes, everything he has said is true, but it doesn’t seem to be changing people’s minds.

I don’t know exactly why this is; obviously most government and union workers would side with the democrats, they always have. But what should worry us is the number of college educated and professional people who seem cynically resigned to vote Obama.

I suspect that many are leaning toward Obama because they expect the economy to remain a shambles, and in the backs of their minds expect a Leviathan, a “strong-man” to take hold of things. They believe—wrongly of course— that Obama the liberal will be less ‘reactionary’ or repressive than a conservative. The connection conservative = fascist is set, hard-wired in their brains. Again, this is just one theory.

Most dems are second and third-generation immigrants. That’s why ‘bam retains the Jewish vote. Romney IS identified with WASP “1%.”

You also see the cult-like “us against them” mentality of the democrats; they’re pack animals and they follow.

Romney has to overcome this. If he continues to attack, he’ll appear to be sniping. The press will make sure the public interprets his criticisms that way. They’ll make him look like a back-biter.

I think people will always prefer an amiable incompetent to a critical stalwart; they fear him less. Perhaps.
It’s all about psychology and is irrational and complicated.

The only way Romney could overcome this disadvantage is by reassuring the voters that none will be left out, that all will profit. He can’t do this explicitly, he has to let them formulate their confidence from what he says. They have to see a prosperous future with real personal gains. They need a solid coherent image of they’re life being better. If they have this they’ll have confidence, they’ll make the leap.

Shakespeare’s Henry V provides an example in the St Crispin’s day pep-talk: “ he who fights this day with me...will on the day feast his friends, strip his sleeves and say ‘the wounds I won at Agincourt’. (or something like that.)
That’s what I mean—a future.

Good summary. Romney will need to make the political equivalent of a gesture of sweeping his arms wide and embracing the electorate. "I will be YOUR President, I will be on YOUR side."

Hope they’re still watching woke up with an idea this morning.

Show various empty chairs for visual.
State number of time he’s met with:
Job counsel
Republican leaders
“Briefings”
etc.

Then show chair with golf clubs and the number of rounds he’s played.
Use the Eastwood quote at the end.

I LOVE that! Great visual. Start with a tight closeup of the one empty chair ... then a voiceover with all the meetings etc. he’s missed, and pull back to reveal more empty chairs (say sitting on a nice green lawn) ... and the voiceover keeps going with more stuff he’s missed, and we see more and more empty chairs, dozens and even hundreds ... then finally pull back and show all the chairs with golf clubs on them, and you see that you’re on a golf course! That would be funny and very easy to remember. Great idea!!
