Just realized that I haven't seen this mentioned anywheres, which in and of itself is curious. Months ago, the NFL announced that it was moving its annual kickoff extravaganza from Thursday to Wednesday, in order NOT to detract from Obama's big acceptance speech...
Well, well, how times have changed....
REMEMBER....
Billy Boy won’t let the DNC vet his speech.
They don’t know what he’s going to say.
Billy Boy going up against the NFL opener may be the only thing that saves the DNC and Obama.
As Todd Starnes said, “20% chance of rain, 80% no shows”
It's a possibility. Hold off the Global Financial Meltdown until Romney takes office, and set the stage for a Dem comeback.
The 2008 financial meltdown's timing was very convenient for Obama.
Just tuned in, Rush is discussing it now. You knew he would! :)
He’s reporting the weather forecast for Charlotte has been downgraded to 20% chance of rain for tomorrow night! LOL!
Yep. Obama has been spending millions with Clinton ads on ESPN. Those ESPN viewers will be watching the game tonight. Major fubar on the dims part.
You, however can console yourself with Giants' successes..unlike my pitiful Jets...and a season of Sanchez/Tebow ad nauseum...
The move with the stadium. The conflict with the NFL. All of this could EASILY be/have been avoided. This is Amateur Hour stuff. I'm starting... just starting... to believe the thesis has genuine merit.
Oh, I’m not a Giants fan (unless they’re playing New England, Baltimore, or the like)... just not a Cowboys fan. (I am, however, a Cowboys Cheerleaders fan!)
He could even ask the question, if something so big and so nasty is coming in the next few years, that the Dems want no part of it. ;)
The New New York Giants are playing the New New York Jets tonight so Bill... should get the bigger ratings.
Yeah, the Cowboys beat the Giants back in 2012... and they got 5 times the ratings of my speech!
Rats! I never get any... big effing deals anymore!
Who are the Giants playing?! Reread your post. Haha!
I’ll watch paint dry before a democratic convention trying to get Odinga re-elected!....ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
Laz....Said it a long time ago....he doesn’t want a second term...and Michelle hates being neat and clean, cooking, taking care of her kids cuz that’s what her mamma is for...
Heard Slick’s speech is scheduled same time as Halftime (12 minutes) but doubtful it’ll be enough time for Clinton to finish!
You didn't read... " but it is 3012, who are you going to put him up against this time?
"The New New York Giants are playing the New New York Jets tonight [in 3012 BOR-Duce!] so Bill... should get the bigger ratings."
So, who misread... what?
Rush mentioned it several weeks ago and it was mentioned on Fox a few weeks ago also.
Surely, the drop in viewers on Wednesday night will make the quite ordinary number of viewers on Thursday night seem tremendous!!!
Then, there's that thing about the loudness of the speakers in the arena being used, giving a viewing audience a perception of great enthusiasm and noise (as compared to the volume at the RNC last week). By moving Thursday's hoopla into the smaller facility, that faux "enthusiasm" is amplified, whereas, in the football stadium, it risked being diminished.
Depends if Monica is there with the humidor...
"Finish"?? Willie needs twelve minutes just to get through his introduction!
"Thank you! Thank you! Ain't Ah great? Ah feel your excitement! Thank you! No, really, you may be seated! Oh, what the heck, keep clapping if you want to! Yes, thank you! Thank YOU! Ah know, Ah know. . . .
"Now Ah think Ah know a little something about prosperity! Ah created all the jobs that exist, millions and millions of them! Yes, thank you! No, on second thought, don't thank YOU, thank ME!! Don't you wish Ah was still President, instead of--well, don't you wish Ah was still President? Really! . . ."
