We are serfs and we have been taught to like this role. We find that our chains rest lightly upon us, and we don't have to think too much.
Yep, oblunder played well with the facebroke generation, they’re all “friends”. Fortunately, that brand has taken on many liabilities, and the facebroke generation can flee a brand as well, and quickly. Like the eroding sand on obama’s Mount Charlotte statue, the brand has lost its shimmer.
I (vaguely) remember some articles about this back on 07..that he was all about a brand, an image, an icon. It was extremely successful- it worked. But as Clint reminded us last week- it was NOTHING but an EMPTY chair.
What a great analysis.
A star is born.
How long did it take for Britney Spears’ brand to crash and burn?
Greenfield is one heck of a writer.
Clint cut through their marketing, brought Obama down to a man not doing his job.
New Slogan: time to let him go.
New image ,logo: an empty chair with a teleprompter.
Then the clip went viral across many markets, and age groups creating a BUZZ
This kind of strategy works particularly well with his type of follower - the very weak minded.
Good analysis.
They sell us everything from youth to religion
The same way they sell us our wars.
I want to know who the men in the shadows are
I want to hear somebody asking them "Why?"
They can be counted on to tell us who our enemies are
When they are never the ones who will fight and will die...

Sometimes even a lefty can see the problem even if they misidentify it.
Corporations buy power because they have the money and politicians sell power because they have it.
REPEAL THE SIXTEENTH AMENDMENT!
While the Income Tax exists, we are but sharecroppers in our own nation.
Compared it to Obama, media helping market a false image of the true Obama.

“We’re going to sell Jack like soap flakes, “ Joe Kennedy said, and sell him they did.
Bravo ! !
I have long believed “marketing” is a technology undreamed of by the Founders.
It bears as much resemblance to “free speech” as today’s weapons do to muskets, and should enjoy First Amendment protections as much as ballistic missiles enjoy protection of the Second Amendment.
When elections are more about winning the “mushy middle” than ground game and turnout, yes, branding is a Big Deal. But the 2010 off-year proved that strong ideology and effective GOTV tactics can exploit the fact that the majority of America is conservative. When “majority rules” conservatives win, and branding of candidates is irrelevant.
Obama uses a voice enhancer, to reverb and echo his voice. His real voice sounds like a screeching pubescent little boy.
