It’s so funny. As we raised the kids we did (and still do) family movie nights. We pulled all the old Bob Hope, Bing Crosby and Abbot a& Costello movies I was raised with and showed them. Many of them were new for my wife as well, having been raised in South America. We showed this movie several years ago. That line was so unexpected from an old black and white movie. The rats will never change. Gotta love Bob Hope.
