The nice thing about a superfine steel wool is even a 1.5 V battery is enough to get it going.

Yeppers. One trick in a big bag of tricks.

I got to spend a quality day with my daughter and some of the grandkids. Turns out that:

a) I'm more mellow and laid back than when I was raising her... and

b) I'm a harsh SOB for requiring certain skill sets and behavior.... and

c) Grandpa John teaches cool stuff you don't learn in school... He rocks.

I had a great day. ;)

Lol! Good for you!

Me, I been busy harvesting stuff from my garden, especially seeds. Carrot seeds, chard seeds, celery seeds, purslane, got pea pods on the vines still drying out, greens beans, NZ spinach seeds (well, they’re still flowering, but they will seed up soon)

The NZ spinach is one I really like. Mostly because it’s prolific, had good drought tolerance, and the biggest plus, THE SLUGS AND SNAILS DON’T GO NEAR IT!

And edible plant here in the NW is best if it’s slug-resistanr!
