Anyway, Jim (Thompson or Robinson) runs the conservative forum Free Republic which for many years has been one of the main lightning rods for socialist, islamist and nazist hate in America. Denizens of that forum are called Freepers. I am won.
Over the years, the Freepers have chalked up some pretty impressive and decisive victories. Remember “Sore/Loserman”, the graphic that played a huge role in defeating the Gore/Lieberman ticket? Freerepublic.
Ripping the cloak of lies off Dan Rather’s attacks on G.W.Bush’s military service? Freerepublic.
Drilling down to the truth about John Kerry? Freerepublic.
Blowing the grotesque and hateful antisemite forum of Samuel Francis off the web? Freerepublic.
Lately there’s been a lot of discussion about the Tea Party, which is another hate object for the left, and about Mitt Romney. Lots of conservatives are very sceptical about the fellow, some more than others.
But the difference between Romney and racist Obama is like day and night, and we’re united in feeling that if Obama is given four more years, there will not be a USA left.
So, the Republicans are going to win this one, and Freerepublic will be in the thick of it. As it’s been before. And when the leftists go insane and go shooting people, the Freepers just crank their Beebers up to “stun” and get the facts out. And if a significant blast wave rolls in, why – they just head for the shovers. And if a moose bites your sister, it can always be cured with cheese.

What happened?
The GOPe convinced many to vote ABO.
That is a problem, a huge problem.
Is ABO a good strategy? Yes, and No.
It will be good to get BHO and the socialists out, however what happens then?
If Romney/Ryan wins and the GOPe agenda replaces the socialist agenda what will the ABO people do? Lay down, give up on the Tea Party and a conservative agenda?
Will there be an extended honeymoon?
Not as far as I am concerned! Unless a conservative, smaller government, lower taxes agenda is followed I will fight against Romney/Ryan as strongly as I do now, more so because the GOPe will have done what it always does.
They say give them the vote one more time and things will improve. Then they stab us in the back! They tell us to STFU, sit on our hands and go along to get along.
NO MORE!
They can go to hell!
Then come 2016, after 4 years of conservatives fighting against the GOPe the left will use that against the RR administration and socialists could take the WH and all of congress.
Unless we swallow the same old GOPe line. You have to vote for us! It’s the most important election in our lifetime! We promise this time we will include your conservative agenda!
And the cycle starts anew....SUCKERS!

Unfortunately, it might well be ALL of our last chances to get it right. After this, there might be no more chances period.

Again, unfortunately, that might well be the truth this time. I don’t think they are crying wolf this time. But I would give just about anything if it had not been romney.
A Romney win is essential to end the error of Obama.
A Romney/GOP betrayal will mean the end of Romney and the GOP, not conservatism.
If America had another chance to get it right, I’d be right beside you, but we don’t. I am not voting for the GOP or Romney. I am voting to oust Obama. Period.
November 7, 2012 is the day to totally and forever abandon the GOP and build a new conservative party, not November 6th.

I’m right there with you. There’s no time left and there are two choices in november, but I’m done with the GOP as far as trying to reform them. They left me. Just like the dems left Reagan. Difference this time, is that conservatives have no official party... yet.
And a new party must come. Palin will be central to building it.
But letting Obama get more play will land some of you gentlemen in camps or prison or worse, and I’m not joking.
I’ve said it before (and Mesta agrees with me): the leftists have no reasonable expectation of privacy on some of the stuff they thought confined to their echo chamber. And we’ll use it.

I was told by an English teacher that I could play with the English language when I had mastered it! Still have not 28 years later, neither has he. It just looks like a typo when you read his article in whole.
Why is anyone concerned. Even before the primaries we were getting daily polls showing how Romney was the only candidate that could beat Obama. These polls must have been true. Remember the 2 or 3 elections that Romney was declared the winner and only after the next election we were told it was a mistake. The economy hasn’t improved, unemployment rate is still high, so don’t worry be happy. Romney doesn’t need conservative votes.
Engrish is his second ranguage. Cut him some srack.

There was a period of time during which FR was pretty much the sole remaining opposition site anywhere.
Finally that changed, and FR got on board. Sort of.
While it’s still entirely safe to oppose Romney here, Thompson has moderated and now actually proposes some degree of working together in this election.

It IS the full article, no snips or omissions. You ain’t got to click your clicker or twang your magic twanger, or nuthin’. AND there is a link to FR on the site and has been since it started. PLUS there is a link to FR in the post itself. Rules obeyed down to the letter...or I wouldn’t have posted it. It was MY idea to repost it here, not his. He has quite a large readership and ALL he wanted to do was honor Jim for the way he has handled FR and maybe drive some traffic this way, so that is what he did. I thought it was a nice gesture worth repeating.
Full disclosure, I am part of that blog, and provide information but don’t post. We do mostly terrorism but it’s only a blog for a far more complex site which neither he nor I have tried to get hits for from FR. It isn’t that kind of blog and we ain’t that kind of people, Your Overlordship, Sir.
