Actually not. In Vermont the state legislature apparently passed a non-discrimination law covering homosexuals. Hence the courts were only following the laws the legislature put into place.
I agree it's wrong--businesses should be able to serve or not serve, whom they wish--but it's the people's legislature, not the courts in this case.
It's not called "the Peoples Republic of Vermont" for nothing.
