Making Democrat Gauthier's Rest-Stop Sex Predator an Issue (action alert!)(updated)
The Red Side of Life Conservative Musings from New York ^ | 8/22/12 | RedInNewYork

Posted on 08/22/2012 11:39:43 AM PDT by jmstein7

First, some background:

Minnesota Democrat state lawmaker Kerry Gauthier is involved in a sex scandal involving oral sex with a 17-year-old boy at a rest stop, and solicitation for the same on Craig's List. Go HERE for more. Not only will Gauthier not step down, but he will not end his re-election bid.

Of course, the MSM has not picked up much on this story - if it was a Republican, we'd be "Foley'd". While part of the problem is MSM bias, the other part is the relative silence of GOP lawmakers on the subject. In fact, only Democrats have really called for his resignation. This can, and must, be remedied with a few simple actions. Please take a few minutes and work with me here.

First, we must get the attention of local Minn. Republicans - who we can overwhelm and force to at least face the issue, with a few hundred phone calls. Let them know that we think this is a HUGE deal.

Second, we must contact US Reps from Minn. and get them to raise a stink. There are four R's, and there is a good chance to get at least 1 of 4 on this:

CALL the followings' offices and tell them to DEMAND that Kerry Gauthier resign over this matter.

FINALLY, at the "global" Federal Level, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) should have an interest in this.

Call them to DEMAND that Kerry Gauthier resign over this matter at: (202) 479-7000

So, let's get to it! If enough of us complete all the above steps, we stand a good chance of keeping the issue alive and making it bigger - MUCH bigger!

If you do nothing, well, shame on you for not trying, whatever your excuse.

Call all the politicians you like, but first call the news editors of your local FM radio stations, local AM radio stations, and local newspapers and berate them for not running this story and relying on the AP or other wire services for news coverage. Belittle their journalistic credibility.

One reason NOT to make this a cause celebre is that no democrats are supporting him. At least publically.

It doesn’t mean we can’t hang him around their necks. And, of course, we have a MORAL obligation to STOP this sicko.

What needs to be done, some how, I don't know how, is that the democrat leaders need to be forced to say publicly and explicitly that even though it is legal to have consent sex between a 57 year old man and a 17 year old boy it is in fact immoral.

They are certainly implying it but I what them to say it clearly. And if they refuse then they should be forced to explain why they think he should resign.

Todd Akin’s stupid comments trumps Gauthier commiting statutory rape against a 17 year old boy, at least according to democrats.

Note to self: Keep my 17 year old son away from democrats!

At least Foley waited until they were 18. I was also going to say that Foley was trolling in a place of higher repute than a highway rest stop, but now I'm not so sure.

Mr Cain at times dispatch writes today that George Allen should be voted against because he once uttered a similar thought as Akin did.He is on the news desk right now at 804 649 6331 .This guy is an ex Al Gore press coverage guy and is as nasty and dishonest as they come

. . .the other part is the relative silence of GOP lawmakers on the subject.

They're all too busy jostling for their chance to issue a sound bite about how "outraged" they are over what Akin said.

But say something about this guy. Oh, no, of course not.

Good grief.

Well Huntley isn't a party leader but he is a democrat and he doesn't pull any punches about Gauthier:

Duluth Rep. Tom Huntley said today he strongly opposes Rep. Kerry Gauthier’s decision to stay in the race for re-election to the Minnesota House and called his DFL colleague “a child molester.”

“It will hurt us in every race in the state. (Republicans) will try to imply that we’re supporting him,” Huntley said. “As far as I’m concerned, he’s a child molester. And I realize that it’s not illegal what he did. … But I think one needs to consider the ethics of the person, and do you want someone like that in the Legislature?”

Isn’t this normal behavior for Democrats? I know the public rather expects it.

Democrats OF COURSE want someone like that in the legislature. Otherwise they wouldn't have anyone there!

Seriously, what did you imagine the Democrat party is about ~ they love each other as often as possible, and in the most unusual of spots.

Think about it. Can you imagine what would happen to her political future if she stopped this stuff?

She'd be ruined!

The fact there are no reports is sufficient to conclude that's where it's happening.

Sorry, I don't read those gay sites telling folks where the good times are, but they've got a roadmap ~ and someone who knows how to do a little research could probably figure it out.

Here’s the question they need to ask him.....”Did you put your penis in that boy’s mouth?”......the liberals want everyone to think these homosexuals are all sitting by the fire in their home reading the Atlantic. Everybody goes “Ewwwwww!” when they actually think about what they’re doing.
