From the open of Rush's show. Rush says he's hesitant to toss this guy under the bus. 'I have a tendency to want to support conservatives who come under fire'....'Dems circle the wagon, we circle the firing squad'

He does make a good point. We always cave. In this case though I think it’s time to walk because of the severity of a McCaskill win. We can’t afford it.
I’m turning Rush off today because it is a waste of time. Rush is totally, completely wrong on this issue.
He was hesitant, but he did. He went on to say Akin should drop out for the good of his cause. What we need to do will be a lot easier if we control the Senate ... and Akin hurts our chances.
SnakeDoc
Turned it off too soon. He ended up saying he should go for the good of the country.
You should have held your post until you heard everything he said. He went on to say Akin needs to set aside personal considerations and withdraw for the good of the country and ensuring control of the Senate and getting rid of Obama. Bottom line, he is telling Akin that right or wrong, he has to go to prevent Mc Caskill being reelected for 6 more years.
Got the vibe (ie: “soft sell whisper”) from Rush that it might best if Akin stepped down.
IMO
You make a good blogpimp trying to scam hits for audio you stole.
It is most unfortunate that Akins, by his own admission, was careless in his comments. Given the impact, he simply cannot escape the consequences of his actions and must step aside.
This election is bigger than Akins and for the good of the country he needs to stand down - now.
The last thing we need is a self-imagined martyr, like Christine O'Donnell. The consequences of him not stepping down is simply bigger than him.
Mr. Akins, I defended you yesterday and I stand by my comments, but you must step aside for the national good.
Yea that was awesome! I love these “blog pimps”, as you refer to them. Opens up all kinds of new websites I’ve never visited before! Cool stuff!
“We always cave.”
Cave? The libs are the only ones who want Akin to stay in the race. McCaskill actually ran pro-Akin ads during the GOP primary. The man is a sure loser. And if the GOP doesn’t retake the senate this year Obamacare is here to stay.
“Rush is totally, completely wrong on this issue.”
In other cases I would say we should stick by our guy or gal. The George Allen “Maccaca” incident comes to mind.
But not in this case. This was one of the stupidest, most inept thing I have ever heard a public figure say.
The fact that the dems get away with this stuff is just not an excuse. As moms say: if the democrats jump off the brooklyn bridge are you going to follow?
And, btw, I read earlier today that even though Allen did not lose the support of the party he still lost the election.
Note though that the WaPo tried the same type of cr*p with McDonnell two years later and couldn’t pull it off. The candidate has to get him or herself out of these messes. Nobody can do it for them. And if they can’t do it themselves, THEY LOSE.
I’m hearing that Huckabee is the only guy Akin will listen to. I’m going to find a number and call him as soon as I can, in about 30 minutes.
Please, everyone else who wants this guy out, CALL HUCKABEE.
I don’t want to die in a trench with Todd Akin. Not that guy and not over this. No freaking way.
How nice for you.
You must be quite clever.
Well, since it's already official FR policy to steal content from other sites (read blogs) anywise, what's a little more going to hurt?
I also think it is Akin and his constituents who matter here. The MSM and Democrats can suck sand. They bluster, pontificate and bellow about womens’ rights simultaneously ignoring the genocide of abortion. Duplicitous bastards one and all.
Couple that with a heretofore ball-less cadre of GOP elitists ever-so-eager to not appear hypocritic, and you have one big Kabuki political theatre. I don’t trust the GOP in any capacity insofar as I can’t get my hands on one of them sumbeehes and shake them. So I’ll leave it to Akin and his voters.
In olden days, we could get away with an occasional “Homer Simpson” candidate/moment but what GOP candidates need to know is:
1. It’s a war, you really have no friends...just mutual associates.
2. Dems will get a free pass from MSM bodyguards.
3. MSM will not treat GOP candidates fairly.
4. Learn to speak “Breitbart”.
5. A man may live 100 years but the internet if forever.
6. We’re at a crossroads, failure is not an option.
Could you do me a favor? Ping me whenever another pimp blog posts. I’d appreciate it a lot! Thanks in advance bud!
Rush is right, again.
He changed my mind about Akin. Whereas before I was supporting defiance against the GOPe and their shills like Coulter, Rush informed that democrats crossed party lines in the primary to ensure Akin was the GOP pick because they feel they can beat him on the abortion issue.
That tells the whole affair is rigged to McCaskill. Best to let Sarah Palin weigh in on her pick and get Akin off the stage.
Still though we have to do something about the GOPe telling the rest of us what to do. Missouri conservatives could have figured this out themselves and simply got Akin to leave. We don’t need the GOPe who selected a RINO democrat in republican clothing to be lecturing us on who should and who should not be in the race.
This is no longer about his constituents or Missouri it is about the country. This guy is an embarrassment. I work with young Republicans across the state and this guy has become a poster child for a loser and “old fart.”
