So, Romney (nor Obamster) have power to appoint a Supreme Court justice without Congressional approval, correct?

Did you bump your head before you wrote that?

“I believe the status of young people who come here through no fault of their own is an important matter to be considered and should be solved on a long-term basis, so they know what their future would be in this country. I think the action that the president took today makes it more difficult to reach that long-term solution because an executive order is, of course, just a short-term matter – it can be reversed by subsequent presidents. I’d like to see legislation that deals with this issue, and I happen to agree with Marco Rubio as he looked at this issue. He said that this is an important matter, that we have to find a long-term solution, but that the president’s action makes reaching a long-term solution more difficult. If I’m president, we’ll do our very best to have that kind of long-term solution that provides certainty and clarity for the people who come into this country through no fault of their own by virtue of the action of their parents.”

I am not happy about Romney's response, which is weaker compared to his earlier statement that he would veto the Dream Act. However, I am more concerned about the reaction of the Republican leadership in Congress--McConnell, Boehner, and Cantor--who should have called for Obama's impeachment for failing to uphold federal law.

The Reps--all of them--are afraid to discuss the immigration issue. They view it as a distraction and off message. It is all about the economy and jobs. They could have used the backdoor amnesty to go after Obama on the issue of jobs. 1.8 million "Dreamers" will have their status legalized and be issued work permits, thereby competing with US citizens for jobs.

Give me a break. I spend a lot of time on the immigration issue as a grassroots activist who lobbies on the Hill and in Richmond. I have been doing it for almost seven years. I know it far better than most.

Holding Romney responsible for checking the immigration status of contract workers is nonsense. Do you check the legal status of all workers who come to your home or business?

It is kind hard to believe that this Mitt Romney was against the homosexual agenda, when he claims to be more pro-gay agenda, than Ted Kennedy.

QUOTE: “If we are to achieve the goals we share, we must make equality for gays and lesbians a mainstream concern. My opponent cannot do this. I can and will.

“We have discussed a number of important issues such as the Federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which I have agreed to co-sponsor, and if possible broaden to include housing and credit, and the bill to create a federal panel to find ways to reduce gay and lesbian youth suicide, which I also support. One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t pursue” military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation’s military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share.

As we begin the final phase of this campaign, I need your support more than ever. By working together, we will achieve the goals we share for Massachusetts and our Nation.
Sincerely,
W. Mitt Romney

I’m going to vote for the RINO for President since that’s the only means available to rid my Republic of the fascist. That’s because I’m a patriot, that is, I’m someone who has chosen to put the welfare of my Republic ahead of my own personal puny “principals”.

What you are seeing is the false-idol crowd attacking Romney at every opportunity. As you already realize, it’s a lot of histrionics, exaggerations and arm waving that result in Romney still being the better candidate.

The Catholic Voter guide here endorsed John Kerry in the last election.

Other Catholic leaders are clearly telling us to vote Obama out of office.

Have you ever written a post and hit enter and then what you are replying to shows up. And you think...that didn’t say at all what I thought it said.

So you try to retract your original post...but can’t.

So you just send yourself to bed. :)

This is a voter's guide and does not endorse anyone:

Voter's Guide for Serious Catholics

Like I said before, I am trusting Paul Ryan's decision to join Romney on the ticket.

kabar Willard had the chance to jump right in the middle of Obamas EO on the illegal aliens ...

He should have been making mincement of Obama and making ads of the lines of illegal aliens to use to show that Obama is not acting as our president but a community organizer...

He hasnt said a word...

What candidate for office keeps his mouth shut like that ???

Is that what you what him to do if he was to get to be president ???

Ignore any threats to our safety and economy ???

at least ONE MILLION ilegal aliens are going to flood the jobs market displacing America citizens...

anjd competing for housing and other free goodies...

our taxes went to pay for their $400+ fees thats more than $400 MILLION ...

Is that the way for an AMERICAN president to act ???

do nothing ??? say nothing to stop it ???

He is quick to protect his ego when something personal is said about HIM ande his silly self...

he has yet to protest and demand that Obama protect the interests of the American we the people

or show an intention to try ..

These are real dangers and threats to our Constitutional rights as a nation...

and yet your boy Wee Willie says NOTHING !!!

He did say something. I gave you his statement.

Where is the GOP leadership in Congress on this issue? They actually have the power to do something about it. Boehner and Cantor are bottling up immigration reform in committee not allowing it to come to the floor for a vote. Lamar Smith and Steve King are pissed about it. Rubio wanted to offer his own Dream act, but Obama beat him to it.

The Chamber of Commerce owns both parties. People like Murdoch and Blankfein are pushing the Reps including Romney for an amnesty and an increased guest worker program. We are bringing in 125,000 legal foreign workers a month now despite the fact that 23 million Americans are looking for fulltime employment.

Romney at Langone, Murdoch, Blankfein meeting: I won't be 'flip-flopper' on immigration Read the entire article.

"Mitt Romney last week told a private group of potential supporters and business and media elites, including Rupert Murdoch, that he was treading carefully around the issue of immigration to avoid looking like a "flip-flopper."

The moment, the subject of the media mogul's now famous tweet, took place at a private fundraiser/meet-and-greet put together and hosted by Ken Langone at the Union League Club in Manhattan late Thursday afternoon, several hours after the Supreme Court decision on health care came down, multiple sources told POLITICO.

The event was attended by between 40 and 50 people, sources said, including some major names in fundraising, finance and media. They included Murdoch and his top adviser Joel Klein, Randy Falco, the CEO of Univision, Goldman Sachs head Lloyd Blankfein, real estate scion Bill Rudin, hedge fund executives Stanley Druckenmiller and Julian Robertson, Jets owner Woody Johnson, former Rudy Giuliani adviser Anthony Carbonetti, and pollster and strategist Kellyanne Conway, according to sources familiar with the list of attendees.

How have you missed the Romney immigration scandals?

Here is a catch-up outline.

That was GOVERNOR Romney at the personal home of the Governor, first Mitt Romney and wife, and then Governor Mitt, with all of his state resources and security, were interacting with the Guatemalan illegals at their home for 10 years. The landscaper that the illegals worked for, was a naturalized Colombian himself, (A naturalized Colombian, Guatemalan illegals, and a sitting Governor), IDs better have been checked.

In December of 2006, the republican Governor was exposed, and suffered national embarrassment for using illegals for 10 years.

In December of 2007, in a national debate, Rudy Giuliani accused Mitt Romney of having run a “Sanctuary Mansion”. On national TV, Mitt Romney indignantly denied the claim.

A few days after the debate, the Boston Globe decided to look again at Mitt’s house, and guess what, they found Guatemalan illegals, they were working for the same Colombian, MITT HAD NEVER FIRED THEM!

Ten years and a national scandal, turned into 11 years, and a second national scandal, with all the same players, the same “contractor”, Guatemalan illegals, and the same Mitt Romney and his wife interacting with them at their home during the week.

Lamar Smith and Steve King can both be relied upon to stand up for Americans and fight against allowing illegal aliens to stay..

Ive been in panel meetings in Washington and heard them personally...

but they cant do it alone...

Its unfortunate that the leadership in the house wont back their efforts...

The only acceptable action is deportation...

Id be more concerned about the anarchy from the other 270 MILLION people than what 30 MILLION illegal aliens might do...
