A Marine Corps (pronounced “kawr”, not “kawrps”)

is that for zero's benefit?

Stupid X10...The Rats are gutting the military budget and pulling stunts like these.

Instead of buying $40,000 Volts they could buy the same car in the gas powered Chevy Cruze for less than half that price. Then they'd need not spend any more money out of the budget putting in charging stations.

This green thing has got to go before it breaks the country.

This was predicted here and by EVERYONE.

Government Motors will be the only approved government supplier. Obama must be french and wants only ONE car company for the USA. no competition.

Let the military use them for target practice. A Volt might even run better after a Hellfire missile lights it up.

Next thing you know, they’ll be ordering fully armored Chevy Volts, with a travel range of a quarter mile before recharging.

Then they can build portable charging stations, powered by biodiesel fuel at $50 a gallon.

I can see it now. Before going into battle in their Chevy Volts, they will send forward a line of biodiesel charging stations, one every 1/8 of a mile just to be on the safe side.

Or . . . Maybe portable windmill charging stations. . . .

I’m sure that GM has competent engineers. The problem is that there are only two of them...to support the 10,000 MBAs, and 20,000 Obamadork incompetents that suck the t*t.

GM - when you absolutely, positively don’t give a smelly Obama about quality.

Shitvy Volts are the military's answer to combat vehicle borne improvised explosive devices.......

OnStar can pilot the Volt up to almost 45 mph!!!!!!! And bursting into flames is a standard feature on all base models.

Actually, I now find that Amazon already sells “armor cover” for their customers’ precious Chevy Volts, but it doesn’t seem to be the military sort of armor.

Maybe they’re going to drop them out of airplanes as a cheaper alternative to bombs. /s

This will be a great staff car for the generals and admirals. They’ll run out of power and the admirals and generals will miss their meetings. Think of how productivity will soar with all these dipstick flag officers stuck by the side of the road!

That is a pleasant thought, if only it would happen.

Buy blue ones, and use them as heated porta-potties.

The Government is only doing to the military what was previously done following the bailout of Chrysler.

In the mid 1970’s we were stuck with Crappy K Cars and Jeep vehicles that had No power at all and were maintenance nightmares.

That being said they were a hell of a lot better than the Government Motors Volt.
