The professor of psychology seems to exhibit classic Dichotomous Thinking- often found in individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder... In his extreme way of thinking, the Republicans are everything "bad" in the world (greed, stupidity, violence, hatred, racism) and the Democrats and Obama are everything "good" ("caring about the poor", peace, kindness, etc.). There is no "gray" area for people who think like this.

Maybe the professor should get checked out...

Professor Westen is self-interested and self-righteous.

He’s also a retard. When did the President try to work with Republicans?

Some time the jokes just write themselves. This story appears on the thread line right about a story about the lack of intellectual diversity and honesty on college campuses.

A tenured university professor penned an editorial in the Washington Post last week in which he skewered the Republican Party for its “self-interest and self-righteousness” and suggested President Obama had made a mistake for working with the GOP.

He wrote this to help advance the updated party line. The "Blame Bush" theme is so transparently silly now that nearly 4 years have elapsed since Bush was president that even democrats aren't buying it. So now the Obama message crafters are shifting the refrain from "Blame Bush" to "Blame the Republicans".

Poor Obama, acting in good faith, made an honest mistake when he attempted to work with the selfish Republicans./sarc

Beats the “smart” professor’s offering of globalist oppression and hell at the center of his politics.

The elitists in both parties are gnashing their teeth at the sight of those uppity Americans rising up against their citizen of the world, amoral “rule.” Jerks.

We shouldn't be giving the professor a hard time.

His federal grant is about to run out and he is trying to get his name in the hat for another government freebie.

“Self-interest and self-righteousness are at the heart of the Republican Party,” wrote Professor Drew Westen in an article published last week in The Washington Post.

You're projecting, Drew.

Obama Fails to Battle Back Against Bullies

Press here

Westen points to two overriding failings of the Obama administration: (1) The president is a gifted orator who has failed to use those skills to communicate boldly with the American people; (2) The president is a constitutional scholar who has failed to stand up for fundamental matters of justice.

Under item No. 2, Obama has allowed himself to be bullied by Republican rivals who specialize in such tactics. Westen speaks eloquently on this point and notes the irony of our first black president being virtually clueless about the principles that drove Martin Luther King:

“unilateral bipartisanship” ? ? ?

Having actually penned that line, the author should be brought before the Med School Board of Trustees and told “Psychiatrist, shrink thy head”.

Big deal. I’m a tenured professor (I guarantee with more, and more popular, publications than this moron) and I think he’s a boob.
