GREAT ARTICLE!!!

Goes to show that the Chosen people of GOD and those that formed a country for Jesus Christ have done well - in comparison to those that chose a cult leader that presses more importance in chanting from a plagiarized so called holy book!

So if the Christians keep moving out of Muslim nations - and the oil finally dries up - does that mean Islam will dry up with it?

The Islamic enlightened period was when they conquered by sword - held Christian slaves that were educated (and other non-Moslems) and when they all died out — so did their enlightened era!

I will be sending this out to EVERYONE!

Responsibility is the missing element.

And that's the reason why the "blame whitey" crowd and the "you did not build this" crowd cannot succeed.

If a person cannot accept responsibility for a problem, they darned sure can't define it and then find a solution to it.

What is this “chosen people” comment I keep hearing? This is the one thing that bothers me when I hear it about the Jewish Faith- Chosen for what? Are they better than all others in the eyes of God? It’s not a good thing to say to the non-chosen, is it?

At least Romney seems to be making the right enemies.

From:

Contrary to popular belief, Judaism does not maintain that Jews are better than other people. Although we refer to ourselves as G-d’s chosen people, we do not believe that G-d chose the Jews because of any inherent superiority. According to the Talmud (Avodah Zarah 2b), G-d offered the Torah to all the nations of the earth, and the Jews were the only ones who accepted it. The story goes on to say that the Jews were offered the Torah last, and accepted it only because G-d held a mountain over their heads! (In Ex. 19:17, the words generally translated as “at the foot of the mountain” literally mean “underneath the mountain”!) Another traditional story suggests that G-d chose the Jewish nation because they were the lowliest of nations, and their success would be attributed to G-d’s might rather than their own ability. Clearly, these are not the ideas of a people who think they are better than other nations.

Because they were the first to be called by God to accept His covenant.

Adding on from the previous, starting with the call of Abraham by God.

Muslims are born and raised to be perpetually offended, and journalists are carefully trained to detect even invisible causes for offense even in the most liberal of republicans, but Romney made it particularly easy for both groups. Romney’s worst flaw in his statement was its exact truth - followed by the offense of saying something nice about the Jews that liberals so thoroughly despise.

I was in Damman Saudi Arabia several years ago and could not help noticing that the saudis import people from other Asian countries like Pakistan, and the Philipines to do the real work that keeps the country running like road repair and construction. Even themanagement of the hotel I stayed in was performed by a Pakistani, while the Saudi manager sat in his office and drank tea.
A functioning green house operation was given to the Palestininans some years ago and the promptly tore it to pieces.

Responsibility is the missing element. It's the character value without which there can be no economic success.

That's very true, and its actually because of a structural flaw in their "religion," which was really conceived of by its founder as a simple way of extending the domination and control of his violent bandit tribe over the disunited and weakened ME territories after the fall of the Roman Empire. Add this to the fact that successive heresies had broken up Eastern Christian unity, and you had kingdoms or tribes that were defended neither militarily nor spiritually against this agressive force cloaked as a new religion.

Islam means submission, and Muslims are very passive in their daily lives, leaving everything to whatever Islamic ruler dominates them, following a religion where God is unknowable and unpredictable and where the believer can only try to stave off the anger of the god or gods by following a detailed ritual law, and where the arbitrary and unknowable will of this god governs all things and your own efforts are of no avail and even offend your god.

There is nothing wrong with Middle Easterners that the removal of Islam wouldn't cure. Remember that some of these cultures (Persia, Babylon, etc.) produced great learning and scientific discoveries...all of which would last for only about two generations after their conquest by Islam, and then the culture would descend to being the usual Islamic pit of ignorance and superstition and anger.

Even in those rare cases where a conquered people was subjugated but use was made of its knowledge, it was because the form of Islam practiced by the ruler happened to be a syncretist variant, which was then determined by orthodox Muslims to be heretical. The result, then as now, was that it was actually the Muslims themselves who attacked and overthrew these more moderate rulers.

The root of the problem is Islam. What you believe does make a difference.

Every moment spent in an Arab country brings to mind the scripture: “You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles.” It is a shame. If not for Islam conquering their ancestors and converting the survivors by force, those people might have had a good life with a positive culture.

It all goes back to their belief in God, but not the son of God. The Last Days - the Judgement - they are accounted for their belief in God - what they have endured and learned when they chose not to maintain the standards of God -

This is all contrary to those that prop up false prophets like say, Muhammad.

I’m Catholic - and have no problem with my Jewish brothers — I do have serious concerns and issues with Islam!

I have recently what exactly happened to the Armenians under the Turks - it was much more horrific than I ever imagined. And I also read recently how in 1999 UNICEF worked to stop Christian charities from trying to rescue people that were made slaves by the Sudanese regime.

A part of Christian history I struggle with is how did we evolve as Christians from killing Jews during the Crusades (the numbers killed are all over the map on that one) to being rabid Zionists in the late 19th Century. Religion was a motivation for many Christians to support the chosen people, as was politics, as the British wanted a loyal base of Jews to fight the Ottomans.

I am reading Howard Sachar’s “A history of Israel” at the moment and wonder a bit about its accuracy. His claim is that the collectivist farms were more efficient than the “capitalist” farms in the period that leads up to WWI. I wonder if this is true.
