Even though it's against congressional protocols to applaud after speeches (with the exception of the president's), Congressman Mike Kelly (R-PA) receives a robust standing ovation following his passionate plea for big-government bureaucracy to get it's regulatory boot off the throat of American businesses.

There are so many places back there that are just rotting because of regulation.

You cant restore the old theater, because it has asbestos wrapped pipes which must be removed, even though there is no danger from them and the regulations as to how it must be removed are cost prohibitive.

So the place rots, and a town slowly dies.

While his rant is great, his record doesn’t quite match his bluster... he hasn’t exactly voted on the cutting end of the red tape battles so far...
