The MSM has gone to great lengths to assure us the President Obama does not support gun control.

The MSM continues to lose what little credibility it has left.

There are things that we can do short of legislation and short of gun laws.

Uh oh! An Executive Order banning guns or at least "assault rifles" is forthcoming.

I am always amazed by how these congress critters must think that gun owners aren’t watching their every move.

Obama thought he could ride some political wave of support for gun control after Aurora, CO. Instead, the nannies have been shouted down, and Obama’s ass is hanging out in the breeze. How very inconvenient for him.

“But Senate Democrats apparently didn’t get the memo that gun control is failed public policy”

Hm. I recall statements like this before Obamakill was passed.

I think this is just far left senators preaching to their far left constituents. They also know that the days of chutzpah are rapidly ending, that the Republicans will likely soon control the House, the Senate, and the presidency. And that there are going to be several fewer RINOs in the Senate.

So the more they tick off the Republican conservatives right now, the more they are going to get seriously kicked in the “neuts”, as it were.

I was actually impressed that Harry Reid shot off his mouth and said that if the Dems kept the senate, that he was going to change the rules to prevent the filibuster. That was a very daring threat to make so late in the game, and it just begs the Republicans to do the same, totally marginalizing the Democrats for at least two years.

If that happened, congress would be able to freely gut a vast amount of the government, and they would not be able to stop it. Only Romney would stand in the way of a huge conservative steamroller.

Chuckie Schumer isn’t stupid. That’s what makes him dangerous. But he is arrogant, and thinks basic rights can be debated & legislated. Arrogance could prove for him to be quite a banana peel. It was for Mario Cuomo.

How ironic that it takes a Rachel Madcow to know the skinny on what “rights” really are.

"We're here to tell the NRA their nightmare is true! ... We're going to hammer guns on the anvil of relentless legislative strategy. We're going to beat guns into submission!"

-- Senator Charles Schumer, NBC Nightly News -- Nov. 30, 1993
