First came the renewed effort to push the Law of the Sea Treaty. Then came the push to institute worldwide gun-control laws in violation of the 2nd Amendment. And now, believe it or not, the United Nations is pushing to legalize prostitution throughout the world.

It isn't God's judgement that I'm worried about with this.
I'm worried about man's tyranny upon their fellow man through intrusive government.
If a state is immoral enough to allow such perversion, the others will have to either reign them in or face the consequences.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Then we better get prepared for the consequences both as a nation and as individuals!
I see immorality from States today and nothing is done to them by the other States. Their immorality, as you like to call it, gets taken to the Federal level and it's then imposed upon the other States because they do nothing to or about the first State/s decision and because they don't exert their Sovereignty as and when needed against such Federal intrusion.
And again....how long has Nevada had prostitution?
Has one single State moved to "reign them in"?
Reality check there, Padre.
They want us to bend to their will.
With the UN it's about control and the UN wants to be in control.
“The state of our souls is dependent only on our own actions not that of the state.”
True for individuals. But God also judges cities and nations.
“Further our constitution guarantees each individual freedom of religion...”
The Constitution is not the final, ultimate law. God’s word is. God does not run to the Constitution to see if something is right or wrong.
The Constitution ONLY has meaning for a moral people. When we forsake morality, we forsake the assumption of the Constitution that men will, for the most part, act morally. We are facing the consequences of a half-century of willful sin as a nation against Him. Fifty million aborted babies speak to our guilt.
“...just because you deem something immoral, doesn’t automatically give the state power to pass a law regarding it.”
Let me repeat, *I* am not judging anything. God is. God’s word is plain about this. Prostitution is a mortal sin. It is a path to a very real HELL.
God does not care if our Constitution “allows” sinful acts to be adopted as a question of state sovereignty. That is a twisted interpretation of that document. The Founders would have NEVER suggested that the Constitution gave states license to curse God and willfully rebel.
I say this to you, strongly: GOD LOVES YOU, AND YOU NEED TO START LISTENING TO HIM. ***PLEASE LISTEN!***
This UN agreement is against child prostitution and wants it outlawed.....see section 3.2.5
Worry about the souls of yourself and your flock if you are indeed a pastor. Our founders were wise enough to know that government was incapable of this duty.
Tyranny is always a danger. There was a time in our nation(speaking of the founders) when drugs, prostitution, gambling, and and porn were legal. We had just fought for freedom against the most power military on earth and we were free. Free to wallow in immorality or free to submit to the will of God. Now, a couple of hundred years later when most of these things are illegal, we are closer to tyranny that we have every been since our founding. This is in part due to people begging, pleading and cajoling government to take additional powers upon itself, that were never constitutionally enumerated to government for good reason, in order to further an agenda that doesn't include freedom. If this supra-constitutional meddling increased the power and scope of government past constitutional limits, then it brought us closer to tyranny. The motives of the people clamoring to be ruled or more appropriately, clamoring for power to rule others, are irrelevant.
More laws, more regulations, more government intrusion (either for or against morality) is not what we need. We need to hold the government to it's enumerated powers. We need to tell the UN to take a flying leap. We need to be more responsible for ourselves and let others do the same. This also doesn't mean we need to allow some UN scheme to regulate prostitution in our country. See UN; Flying leap.
I'm still saying "Screw the UN", just like I've been doing for many a year...and just like I did back in that 2001 comment.
I don't understand how someone could endorse a libertarian ideal of state sovereignty but be OK having it's implementation forced by international fiat by a progressive international bureaucracy that has no respect for said sovereignty.
That's okay, I do understand how somebody can make an incorrect assumption and statement based on their ignorance of a person's actual position.
Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Is fornication/prostitution a sin against you? Or is it just a stumbling block in your path?
Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
...some childish namecalling, of which I never initiated.
Childish comments are deserving of childish name calling.
What you did do was imply I said something that I hadn't.
That is what I took offense to.
Obviously, now that I look back...
And yet you took offense at my reaction (childish namecalling as you put it). Your actions, IMO, were worthy of much more and yet I refrained.
Are you a "roll over and take it" type who expects everyone else to react in the same manner?
Do cities and nations have immortal souls?

The constitution is the final ultimate law that governs civil society. That is the concern, and only concern of government.
The constitution has the exact same meaning regardless of the morality of the people. The constitution does not assume that men will act morally, that is why the powers of government were limited to those that were enumerated, why there is a separation of powers, and a why we have a bill of rights. I am not guilty of a half a century of willful sin, I am not guilty of racism, abortion, slavery, stealing land from Indians, imperialism, warmongering, homophobia, or any of the things people try to make me feel guilty about. I have enough sins of my own without taking any upon myself.
Let me repeat, *I* am not judging anything. God is. Gods word is plain about this. Prostitution is a mortal sin. It is a path to a very real HELL.

The word of god as determined by PastorBooks infers no additional power to government. God will not judge us based on our obedience to secular law but by our obedience to His law. What exactly is and is not the power of the state is plainly outlined in the constitution. Period.
I say this to you, strongly: GOD LOVES YOU, AND YOU NEED TO START LISTENING TO HIM. ***PLEASE LISTEN!***
I know that God loves me and I am not sure why you feel the need to tell me that. Do you think you know my heart sir?
By that logic it shouldn’t be legal in America - too many people.
It's 400,000 or more residents by county.
Not exactly shining a spotlight on it when you kick it to the sticks is it.
