Nope. Since I gave up my cable (only have around 16 channels) I haven’t seen any shows in a while.

Let's take a look at the new Batman film:

A bank heist is carried out by men in sinister clown masks. As each clown completes a task another shoots him point-blank in the head.

A clown stuffs a bomb into a wounded bank employee's empty mouth.

A bomb is stitched inside another man's stomach - which subsequently explodes.

Another bound man is tied to a chair and set on fire atop a pile of bank notes.

A child is terrorized at gunpoint by a man with a melted face.

A man's face is filleted by a knife.

Another man's head is burned half-off.

In Daniel Craig's Bond movie, "Casino Royal" a bloodied Bond, stripped naked and tied to a chair, is tortured by having his genitals beaten with a length of rope.

In "Man on Fire" Denzel Washington shoves a bomb up the rectum of a Mexican conspirator, then triggers its explosion.

In "The Dark Knight" the Joker describes his penchant for knife-killing: "Guns are too quick. You can't savor all the little emotions."

"Great family entertainment" is touted for the Batman flick, undoubtedly right down to any three month-old babies in the family circle.

The title of this thread bears a second read.

I report, you decide.

Agreed - Hollywood has certainly turned on consistent movies filled graphic murders and gory violence - and sadly - the villains is often glorified (not always, of course. And I too do not directly blame them, but their poor judgement of churn out countless violence films does take a toll on young minds.

But that alone is not the reason for this murder going wild and killing innocent people, sad as that is, the deeper reason is this: Satan is the God of this world, and as such, we all are sinners and capable of horrid sinful acts, but the critical, and often overlooks, source of this murderous individual type is that Satan can easily cause his devils/demons to possess people - not in the sensational hollywood approach - but in both a outward violent and both a subdued quiet approach that quells inside for years in an individual into that moment that that possessed devil unleashes his murderous behavior through that person, which we now all see (and are all its sicken to learn of these outcomes).

The media will never consider this truthful aspect - devil possession - simply never accept it - for one thing, they only understand a sensational hollywood approach manifestation of a devil - but the reality of devil possession is often quite difference from hollywood's approach. The reason for this young mans murderous actions are really not that heard to comprehend - for sins and Satan and devil possession - not sensational possession - was the driving force that strongly drove this young man to such an event. Why do I say that - Satan is identified as a murderer from the beginning - and a liar from the beginning - and since Satan possesses these sinful qualities, Satan easily converted his devil angels to imitate him in sinful attributes such as murder, etc. Satan himself is not the one who possessed this man, but his devils did and the outcome is murder - a direct imitation of the chief murder - Satan.

If you wish to comprehend this evil murderous act, then read the Bible and learn of man's wicked sinful ways throughout history, and also read history and learn of man's wicked sinful ways throughout history - we will discover one thing from this study - sin in prevalent and profuse and always with us - and each man's sin nature, and Satan and his devils all work together to lead people into murder and all sorts of sins. Throughout history there is no lasting peace, and murderers are abundant. The cause is sin, the source of this type of murderous sinful behavior is Satan's devils/demons, the solution God Son Christ Jesus for all comfort and salvation. This young man flaunted God's saving grace from the sin nature and devil/demon possession. All too often we see this evil behavior all too often. But in the end - the cause is sin and Satan's devils/demons who influence men into sinful life styles.

12 more people would be alive today if Hollywood learned to control its violence.

I think a good case could be made for banning Batman movies and requiring all people that have one to register them (and, hopefully, be later required to turn them in).

Thank you for your wonderful reply. I had to read it a few times to take it all in. This is what we consider great entertainment in this country? I feel sick.

Personally, having lived in Japan for a couple of years, the impression I get is that the Japanese would just think of it as terribly rude to kill somebody.

Great point. You write very well, perhaps you could write about your experiences in Japan?

Yes, I agree Satan is the god of this world. We are a fallen people, saved only by the grace of Jesus Christ.

I think it's possible the FPS games are, in terms of psychological impact, a very different animal than anything most of the 80's metalhead generation was exposed to during their formative years. Wasn't the early police and military use of silhouette targets specifically intended to desensitize trainees to the idea of plugging a human being? I'm just wondering about possible unintended consequences of preteens and teenagers having essentially unrestricted access to this stuff (you have to admit they mostly do in our society). As for the metal...I don't remember any of it actually being satanic back in the 80s, except Maybe King Diamond and one or two other fringe acts I can't dredge up, but I don't recall anything like the "death metal" that's been around the last decade or so. Maybe I missed it though.

Frankly, I don’t think sugar is the problem. Artificial sweeteners, those should be banned. Gave ‘em up two years ago and got my memory back. Which isn’t always a good thing.

As far as I'm concerned, people like Al Gore, Van Jones, and William Ayers have a fa more detrimental impact on society than any movie or video game.

Al Gore teaches that the "old people" are stuck in the old ways and are destroying the future of the youth. Van Jones is actually producing marxist curriculum for school children and teaching that violence against some isn't always a bad thing. William Ayers is still teaching teaches and those three are hardly alone.

Look at the violence that's been promoted against Sarah Palin by the leftists in the media. Suggestions that rape might be good for Sarah Palin. Keith Olberman dehumanizes Michelle Malkin by calling her a "Bag of meat".

The Occupy movement actually protests in favor of child prostitution while willfully hiding violent crimes in their midst (Kicks them out and inflicts them on the rest of society)

Was your niece raised in daycare?

We pretty much stopped raising our own children and were unsuccessful in stopping the pulic schools and Universities going Marxist in ideology and culture.

Interacting with day care workers as a part of a herd, versus being raised by moms who love us and interact with us as individuals, is going to come back to haunt us. Also all the tv and social media create an evironment devoid of human contact.

America has changed alot over my short time on earth and it’s not always for the better.

Not raised in a daycare but both parents working. They did have a top notch “daycare” that was a local woman who was very popular. My ex wife and I had 1 child there every day one every other afternoon, and the 3rd was there in the afternoons. She wouldn’t accept parents who just dropped the kids off so we always spent 15 or 20 minutes there every afternoon talking about what the kids were up to. She was a local farmer’s wife.

It should be pointed out that my sister has 5 kids and only one of them has managed to be an idiot.

What movie did Cain watch that gave him the idea to kill Abel?

Let’s think this one through. Several generations ago, children on farms grew up with lots of sex and violence. They got to see how new animals were made, and how animals are slaughtered to make food.

There is nothing quite as graphic and grotesque as butchering a cow. It is also very, very hard work, and you end up filthy and covered in blood and worse. And this wasn’t all for the boy children, either. Girls had the fun experience of plucking and cleaning chickens, cleaning fish and game, and fresh cuts of beef, then having to immediately cook it all for dinner.

In the 1950s, many parents were convinced that comic books would turn normal children into psychopaths. In the 1960s, it was rock ‘n’ roll ‘n’ drugs. In the ‘80’s, video games and violent music.

If Hollywood turns out perverted and violent crapola, just don’t watch it if you don’t enjoy it.

There’s a huge difference between slaughtering cattle for food and the work that goes along with it that makes one bloody, and people onscreen slaughtering each other for the purpose of entertainment.
