Last night, President Barack Obama delivered some telling remarks to a fire station full of people in Roanoke, Virgina. Ill save you the trouble of reading the (long and uninspired) speech and provide you with the most interesting part:
If youve got a business you didnt build that. Somebody else made that happen. President Barack Obama, July 13th, 2012.
It would be easy to respond with something along the lines of, Somebody else made that happen? Who? Who magically imagined the product or service, started the business, built it up, and created the jobs? Who was it? The tooth fairy? And to some extent, President Obamas statement is so ridiculous as to merit that sort of quick, flippant response.

In a division of labor society, new aspects, new dimensions of productive activity appear. The productive role of businessmen and capitalists is to raise the productivity of manual labor, and thus its real remuneration, precisely by means of creating, coordinating, and improving the efficiency of the division of labor.
No, Obozo is the Lie Fairy!
Just more evidence that Barry is totally clueless when it comes to business and the economy. The boy thinks money grows on trees.
The Internet didnt get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies
could make money off the Internet."

Apple Computer would not be in business today if it were not fot the efforts of two individuals working long,
long hours in their garage with out pay to bring their visions to market.
And even if they had paid employee's to assist them their only partially responsible since they were paid for and directed
in their efforts.
LIBERALS.... Always in the way when your trying to accomplish something,
and there to take the credit when you accomplish things in spite of them.
So I suppose if I start a business, invest my money, and it fails, then someone else caused it. And then would the government compensate me as the victim?
This is what happens when Obama goes off the teleprompter - he reveals his true beliefs.
I suspect it's the latter, too. With a dollop of consumerism thrown in for good measure. Remember, Obama has several times called for a "bottom-up" recovery. He believes this baloney.
It's true that consumers provide the money that supports a business, but if the entrepreneur doesn't carefully save a portion of his revenues [that is, he must refrain from current consumption,] labor don't get paid and consumers soon don't have a business to buy from.
John Stuart Mill, in the 19th century, wrote that buying goods does not buy labor, meaning that consumer spending does not support the economy. Only capitalists who consciously make the decision to save their proceeds and reinvest in the business can cause economic growth.
That's a concept Obama could never comprehend.
What the hell does someone who only knows how to destroy businesses know about building them???
Obama throws out these idiotic Alinsky sound bites to his adoring crowds and thinks he is so cool and hip.
This attitude is what permeates and is rotting our society. My wife and I put our life savings and every extra hour we have into our business (I still work a day-job too as well in order to keep it going it), and I get this...stuff. I even have clients who consider a signed contract little more than toilet paper when it suits them. Same rotten attitude....
I have contracts to fulfill, and will do so, but am already planning to close the doors when they run out. This will leave several unemployed and a service cherished by many gone. However at this time, I don't care! I am the Little Red Hen, and I have already vowed to stop making bread! I may even consider leaving this country, as I would rather live free in a country that is up front about the way it is rather than being given a song and dance while I am being scr*wed from behind...
If you really think Zero is going to give up power without a fight, you are a dreamer...
Not necessarily so.
Many manufacturing business must forecast and gamble on
production quantity's.
They must inventory raw materials and parts and invest in equipment (which the government taxes) then produce their products and pay
their labor costs (Labor, insurance and taxes) before
their products are even shipped.
Then they must wait sometimes months before their paid
for their goods.
This is a financial gamble
and why it takes capital to do so.
Woe to our economy!
Now thats funny coming from a low rent scumbag who has built nothing but a shitload of debt of which none of the politicians will ever have to worry about.
Who made it happen?? Why that unicorn shiteing skittles, that’s who.
0bamatax hitting the crack pipe, again
Bull, pure BS. You're a lying POS hussein. I watched (and helped) my Dad and Mom build a business out of nothing with their own hands, sweat, and their own capital - no loans whatsoever. That business provided food and shelter for my family, as well as gainful employment for several other people Dad hired on.
hussein, when it comes to business sense you are worse than useless, you have absolutely no clue what makes this Country tick. You have a distorted, parochial view that can't see past the limits of government power. That's why you keep wanting to extend government control. To the rest of us, to the real world, government is an impediment, a life-sucking plague.
It’s a witch method of cursing and making people jump with him in this.
Or anything else, for that matter.
Absolutely correct, sir. I should have included that point.
Every American is free to work for himself. The ones who save their money or have access to borrowed capital because of their reputation actually do it. An important point.
