Biggest mistake Ike made was not heeding the advice of his ambassador to Cuba, Earl Smith, who warned him that Castro was a murderous Commie. Ike’s response was to replace Smith. Nice going Ike, if you had listened there would have been no revolution, no

Everyone should read this entire thing and think about it.

I do not agree with all of the analysis, but on the whole it is an excellent article, and I learned from it.

It also motivates me to be even more pointed in advocating that “Romney” choose a running mate who would make a great president, instead of Romney just picking someone who might help him win the election.

We cannot let short term fears intimidate us to completely give up on long term strategy.
