Obama Venn Diagrams
The Looking Spoon ^ | 7-11-12 | The Looking Spoon

A visitor recently wrote to alert me to how the Romney campaign has been employing a series of graphics like this one to show the gap between Obama's promises and results on a number of issues.

A liberal site called Upworthy, has incorrectly labeled these graphics as venn diagrams, and then proceeded to respond to them. You can see their pathetic offering here.

The visitor posted a response on his blog Slapotics to Upworthy's unworthy effort

I also came up with a few of my own...

I have one. Where can I put the image so that it can be linked to FR?

I think I got a handle on these sven diagrams. And I've always been a fan of the Swedish chef.

It’s a way to graphically describe sets, like in the picture.
The blue circle represents the set of people who say we need to sacrifice. The red circle represents people whose wives take $400K vacations. Barack Obama belongs to both sets.

Yes. The Venn diagram shows him as being a member of both sets.

You asked Why are they not Venn Diagrams?

They are.

Ah, I see what you are saying. This:

Is not a Venn diagram.

Looking Spoon's graphics are.

It pays to read the sourced article once in a while.

You are most welcome. The compliment (from me) was long overdue. The work done for our Troops at Bethesda, by the group of people, of which you are one, made my heart proud to be an American. Please (because I do not know who the others who helped were/are) Thank Them All for me. You guys and girls are wonderful. Each of you is a Hero. Thank you’all!
